The only one of these series I've watched is “Komi Can't Communicate”. I had chosen this series to be my introduction to the slice of life anime genre. I enjoyed it overall, as I found it sweet, I enjoyed the style and I enjoyed the character interactions, but I agree that it tended to get boring. It looks like I'm not a loser, thankfully! (I tried replicating my comment from the original upload.)

My Dress Up Darling gave me the idea of a fanservice, titty showing anime with the classic loser protagonist, but became my favourite anime of all time, with actual deep characters with objectives, even going as far as making Marin MORE THAN FANSERVICE I related so much with gojo that i fell in love with him, he was so humane, so real, so kind, so him it was amazing, or maybe we both have Super Autism, who knows Marin gave me a shocking News, she was deep, an actual character with omtives, dreams, fears and anxietys, I read the manga, and the girl had multiple breakdowns because she felt lilke she was a burden to the love of her life. Also! Recently, they finally took the step! They were at their lowest, and it was an amazing payoff Conclusion: My Dres Up Darling needs a tier of it's own

I adore the relationship that Gojo and Marin have, adoring how Cloverworks was able to deliver with the visuals and the presentation side of things. Very nice show, happy it got ranked very high in the tierlist

Dress Up Darling is interesting because, while it's marketed and built around Marin as a desirable fantasy girlfriend, Gojo himself is also a fantasy for the female audience. He's kind, honest, hard-working, a skilled craftsman, cares about others, takes a genuine interest in Marin's passions ... I mean that's just good boyfriend material. And, in an important difference from most "loser anime" protagonists, Gojo is shy and introverted, but he's never shown as pathetic. You can easily see why Marin would fall for him, as opposed to these other male characters who are just charmless bores that the girls inexplicably go crazy for.
