I am so excited for geminifourth's new series in the new year, and those boys have shown that they got the range

I personally didnt like Only Friends, I thought it started well but went downhill, but I do see that it had certain good elements. I never finished it, but I can understand how some people that watched it liked it as much. My personal favorites of the year are I cannot reach you and My beautiful man season 2, japanese BLs are always my favorites and these didnt disappoint!

I never quibble over anyone's rank order because those are subjective. Kayla cannot be wrong about Kayla's preferences. And the frequent repetition of "I loved..." in these series descriptions makes it clear this list largely reflects qualities that make Kayla happy when she consumes BL. And none of us can question that because we each have our own biases, too. That said, I will note this Top Twelve overlaps with mine by less than a third. But that's why we now have so many BL series, eh? BL production in 2023--Something for every taste!

You’ve given me a list of series to watch! I have a snow day tomorrow, followed by a long weekend where I won’t be leaving my house, so I’ll have plenty of time. I haven’t tried I Feel You Linger because people have said they didn’t nail the ending, but maybe I’ll try it. Step By Step and The Eighth Sense also looked good. And I thought Naughty Boy would be terrible (confession time: I didn’t like Cutie Pie), but your description sold me on giving it a try. Also, it might not count since it’s still ongoing, but Last Twilight is a masterpiece and on track to being one of my top 10 of all time. Finally, THANK YOU for your defense of Ray. I couldn’t stop praising Khaotung for his performance and the fact that the series didn’t shy away from showing a man with serious mental health and substance abuse issues. And Khaotung just threw himself into the role with everything he had. A man willing to ugly cry with a camera six inches from his face is one who cares more about the performance than how he looks. Just so good.

I commented on your Love Cast channel about I Feel You Linger in The Air. I really could go on and on about this masterfully produced work of art. It is one of my favorite BLs of all time. I was blown away by Nonkul and Bright. They were absolute perfection as Jom and Yai and made the beautiful story and its many breathtaking scenes memorable.

Thank you ! I wholeheartedly agree with your #1 choice. IFYL. It is so beautifully produced and acted. Finally a BL epic not on a shoestring budget! I also agree with your choices of the Eighth Sense and Moonlight Chicken. Can’t say I was impressed as much as you with the others. I would have chosen Tokyo in April, Love Class 2, and Jack o’ Frost. I really appreciate you making list, Kayla. Thank you again.

The Eighth Sense was so incredibly good. I haven't seen any of the others* but am excited to have more recommendations. *I started to watch Step by Step but thought it was so dull that I couldn't continue, LOL. Maybe I'll give it another chance some day.

Love Moonlight Chicken all couples and the exploration of exes and simply falling out of love. Also loved the hue the cinematography was yummy. Only Friends was awesome sometimes you just have to watch a series without opinion because i knew nothing about people wanting Ray to go yo jail 😂like be fr. I alao read End of the World after the series 😂

Moonlight Chicken is so close to a masterpiece! I just wished the plot hadn't dragged so much. The protagonist uncle something-or-other pushes both his love interests away, and at a point, I stopped feeling invested in me. But still, the show made me cry my eyes out, the characters were lovely, and the handling of social issues was genuinely thought-provoking. I totally agreed with your takes on Only Friends and the Eighth Sense. I started Bed Friends and was into it, but then I sort of just... didn't finish it? Loved My Beautiful Man 2 and its psychological complexity and symbolism so much. I haven't seen Never Let You Go, The End of the World With You, or I Feel You Lingering in the Air, but I'll check em out! Tbh I often really struggle with hour long BLs... love me a 30 minute show!

I also thought UWMA would forever be my all-time No.1; BUT IFLIA is just absolute perfection. And I'm happy that no matter what other series people like, these series are number 1 in almost all of them. Otherwise like Taiwan-BL and especially J-BLs more. There are a lot of very good series this year and also some Thai BLs that dare to break out of the monotony. Just about "Bed Friend" yes, I have never seen such aesthetically erotic and believable NC scenes as in this series. Well, I don't understand your hype with MSP, I found Fourth/GEMini much better in "Moonlight Chicken", but it's probably a matter of taste.

Glad to see your video again, I missed you. I completely agree with the list. Have you watched Be my Favorite? If you've watched it, how do you like this series? This is one of the best BL that I have watched lately, the series give me a lot of lessons , it made me think about my life and how I can correct my mistakes. The relationships of the characters are one of the healthiest in BL, the love story was beautiful, I have never had so many butterflies in my stomach, I really believed in the strong love of the characters, the kisses were beautiful. The character Pisang played by Gawin is the best man in BL, caring, respectful of his partner and just a green flag, and the Kawi is so cute.I am the same as Kavi and I was pleased to see how his character changes, understands his mistakes and it helped me too. I received so many emotions while watching: laughter, tears, tenderness and joy. I will not forget this story and this love for a long time. Gawin and Krist are wonderful actors and people. Their chemistry was wonderful and it was no surprise that they became friends. They said they are family and they were glad that thanks to the series they were able to get to know each other better and become close. They still hang out and spend time together despite the fact that Gawin has a new BL partner. They will most likely continue to be a musical duo because they themselves said that they will continue to write songs together and they enjoy performing together on stage. They both love to sing and play musical instruments and this unites them . Also many people liked it when they sang together on stage. I love healthy friendships and GMM is a big family in general, there are a lot of actors who are friends with each other. Sorry for writing so much, I just really wanted to share my emotions with someone, and I wanted to share it with you. So if you have watched this series, can you please review it. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on this series. ​

My love for Step by Step is well-known and epic. I generally DESPISE boss/employee romances, but this show did it right. They both understand possible consequences and act to avoid them. Jeng is really trying to leave so it's not a problem. Pat tries so hard to be good. Their misunderstanding actually makes *sense* given their characters. And yeah, the tension between them is frankly amazing, as I said on Twitter frequently :D I also agree that those are some of the best on-screen sex scenes ever. I'm glad you showed a clip of the car scene, because that was perfection. It instantly reminded me of the early days of my relationship with my husband ::snerk::

Just why did I stumble on your channel now?😩 I just managed to finally narrow down my list of shows I need to watch to a doable 7, and now I’ve spent like an hour watching your videos and the list is once more far in the double digits exceeding 20🤦‍♀️ No complaining though (complaining a little to be honest) - I can see from your videos that I have a similar taste to yours and same pet peeves when it comes to BLs (latest video about lazy writing - hellooo, I was literally thinking the exact same things you said in the video - word for word). I agree with your list except for Only Friends. I initially really liked it, but eventually stopped watching because the treatment of Nick and Boston's relationship. I really didn't get why were supposed to sympathize with Nick. When the relationship started Boston established that he wasn't interested in anything more than friends with benefits, and Nick presumably agreed. But we are supposed to feel bad when that remains all the Boston wants? And side with Nick even after he bugs Boston's car to spy on him? I'm not saying Boston was in the clear with everything he did, it just seemed to me that in that relationship at least he was the one being wronged despite the show trying to paint him as the bad guy. Anyways, I personally had a big problem with it and would have replaced it with My Personal Weatherman in my own list.

I read a tweet (or whatever it is called now?) where he said that they had removed a couple of NC scenes/or part of NC scenes, because the actors weren't comfortable with what they saw on the screen after filming it. So they were okey filming it, but when they saw it on the screen, they didn't want it released. And then I saw a YT interview where he mentioned that they had cut a whole scene about Top in post production. And I think that's the one people were complaining about, because they decided to cut it while the show was airing, and so they cut it because of audience reaction. Apperently it was a scene set in ep11, when Mew starts to engage Boeing, and so Top is starting to give up on Mew, thinking he has to move on. So he goes to a gay bar and pick up some random dude and takes him home. JoJo explained that there were three reasons why they cut it. One, the scene or the hook up wasn't actually used further in the storytelling, so it stood on it's own without any actual impact. Two, they felt like Top was already getting enough heat, especially from international viewers about once a cheater always a cheater, and so he felt like the scene of Top hooking up with someone despite still wanting to pursue Mew would further the grudge towards Top - and that was just not the story JoJo wanted to tell. Three, he also mentioned that he wanted to protect Force, who apperently he was being bullied online and people were yelling at him on the streets, becuase some people can't seperate the actor from the character. - So I think some people, especially international viewers, felt like JoJo copped out, telling his story, because they felt like he decided to polish Top for us to like him. And I think many also flet like he did it because he wanted to sell the ship of ForceBook + protect his show ratings. Personally I don't agree, because deleting scenes in post production is very common. For several reasons: Sometimes a scene just doesn't add anything, sometimes it becomes a matter of time of the episode length, and sometimes the perceived interpretation goes in the opposit direction as it was intented. And for all of these reason, and more, most shows (series, movies) cut or delete scenes. In western media they're a big deal, and audience love watching them alongside bloopers. So for me, it just isn't a big deal, and I feel like the ones complaining so loudly about it, tried to make a mountain out of a molehill.

I personally cannot watch series where ome of the characters are whiny O cant bring myself to watch Cutie Pie or the other one rhzrycame oit this year they are seriously too ammoying as characters for me thats why i havent watched Step by Step either. I will give them a looksie onnce im not being fed by great bl but the Sign Ladt Twilight and Pitbabe are airing amd I am obsessed. I feel so much of my faves are off your list so Ill just recimmend one must watch Love Class 2. It one of my favorite couples ever in it
