I feel if Nightcrawler has his Cutlasses out, this is a must play. Azasel comes out and attacks, Nightcrawler defends and deals 1 with retaliate and the readies up and can get rid of Azasel with 1 att. It's a net two free cards.

Dope play!! Nightcrawler is really wanting for card draw, so I think this probably puts this into BFF territory for me

Excellent call out on 'You' being Identity in this case. Allies and supports still fair game to hit the villain. Because I push the envelope pretty much as much as possible (Expert II and all the danger) I would play Face The Past in all of the decks you identified as Frisky. The reasons you have for the 10' Pole list are good ones.

@@Lerysh Thanks!! Probably Frisky is more “can do” than “shouldn’t” do, for sure. Seems like a strong card with lots of uses

I think the part that makes some Minions harder to judge as they are separated from their Nemesis kit. For a recent example : Azazel without his treacheries and scheme eliminate his ability to teleport until shadows enables it. I wonder how many more are similarly handicapped?

small note: M can kill elite minions. it's silly, and i'm sure it was an error, but somehow it got signed off on and sent to the printer, so now we can instagib elites FTP is almost an auto-include for anyone running M

I think you can defend against a quickstrike minion and ready afterwards when you use Face the Past. So Vulture would not damage Peter Spider-Man, you have the chance to defeat him during the player phase and maybe you draw a Swinging Web-Kick. Sounds good to me
@journeyman27469 күн бұрын
Yeah! This is brought up in the video, though if you have to use the ready and 5 resources to deal with the nemesis, then Face the Past didn't gain you anything!

You missed a crucial part about Valkyrie. Face the Past does not bring the Side Scheme. This means you will get three card, to pay for that quinncarrier, or to get the mental/lightning resource that you need to get rid of the Attachement. With a 5 hand size, solo play: SoTP is game over for Valkyrie. You can't thwart efficiently, you may not have the resource to pay for the attachment, and you can't attack enchantress. With Face the Past, you chose to deal with a tough problem you can resolve, so that SotP won't shut you down if it comes up. Now you can say "but what if SotP never comes up?" To which I answer, better safe than sorry. I continue watch the video, but for now, this is my only real disagreement. Everything else I agree to some degree, even if I think Carol Denvers will always take advantage of Face the past, due to triple resource, and easy to kill minion.

@@alberttaco3668 great comment!! I worry with Valkyrie that getting the attachment that you can only clear in alter-ego is pretty tough, because grabbing Enchantress also grabs Seduced. So you need a way to flip and clear Seduced and you can only clear Enchantress with allies or non-attack damage. I’m not sure she’s getting enough value for what she deals with You’re probably totally right on Captain Marvel!
@journeyman274614 күн бұрын
The more I think about it, the more I think you're absolutely right about Captain Marvel. I think I was too conservative on the first one. But she can clear him and pitch her hand to Energy Channel to setup the finishing blow for the next turn. Big spiky turns is her thing and this facilitates that
@alberttaco366814 күн бұрын
@@journeyman2746 I agree, The play with Valk is not about producing value, but to avoid instant loss. So either you take the risk of not playing it, and just scoop if SotP comes out. Or you put face the past in your deck, to have an extra chance of not losing the game suddenly. The 3 card can pay for the attachement, which is not the case with SOTP. And there is no side scheme that prevent the attachement from being removed, which is not the case with SOTP. But that is tough decision, because you don't make value out of the card. You just reduce the probability of an insta loss. But you can still lose out of Face the Past lol Her nemesis set is just that awful. Good video nonetheless!
@journeyman274614 күн бұрын
@@alberttaco3668 Totally, it's just so hard for her to flip, I'm loathe to give her an attachment that requires flipping, but you've convinced me to try it, frisky!

I hear what you’re saying about spending your Toon counters, but I’ve had Gobbler eat all my Energy barrier and Med Team counters too and that SUCKS lol. So not with that deck anyways 😆

The funniest one is Snowguard haha. There are some sneaky counter cards you don't normally think of, but I don't run too many in Ham myself
