I own the Musc Rose Noir for about a month now and I wear it often. I am absolutely enamored with it. I am also literally the only person under the Sun who thinks this perfume lasts endless and projects and I know it because I don’t even overspray it yet I smell it strong throughout the day as well as people tell me it smells good on the days I have it on. Side note, i don’t detect as much tuberose as you do Claire, but I get the plum and plum is the lead, plus musk. I do agree about the leather nuance and booziness. I think it should be named: Musc Plum Noir 😀 I smelled the Coach flanker and I agree with every word you said, it’s not for me.

It's weird you should say that because the first time I tried musc noir rose in store, I only got a few hours from it and I was disappointed. Then I got a sample and actually the second, third and fourth time, it lasted much longer. I found it very confusing, but put it down to me perhaps not spraying the tester in store as much or perhaps me wearing it on a different part of my body 🤷‍♀️ That's very interesting about the plum! I think I probably get so much tuberose because I really don't have many tuberose fragrances so probably I am supersensitive to smelling it! Yes the Coach flanker was promising for the first few minutes but sadly a big no by the end. Thanks so much for watching and I hope you have a lovely Sunday! ❤️

Musc Noir Rose is really beautiful, I’ve actually been wearing it today. It’s definitely my favourite from Narciso Rodriguez 😍 I got a sample of the new Coach fragrance and I thought it was ok but not one that I would buy a full bottle of. I loved hearing your thoughts on these new fragrances ❤️

Thanks Chantel! Yes Musc Rose Noir stood out a mile here 😂I haven't tried most of the NR fragrances, only 4 of the cubes, the for her EDT and EDP and Fleur musc. I really like Fleur musc and poudrée from the cubes.

I have tried Musc Noir and liked it, then tried again and thought I didn’t… will have to give it a third go. The rose flanker I haven’t gotten my nose on yet. I find Narciso Rodriguez Musk Noir Rose quite alluring. But, I have to admit, the same goes for all For Her flankers, except for EDP. Something is wrong with EDP. All the other fragrances in For Her line are either very goord or excellent ! This video gives interesting and very detailed descriptions of selected fragrances !

Yes, I think they are underwhelming. The EDP I have has zero projection, literally nothing, but is an eternal skin scent. Coach wild rose is actually quite punchy in comparison.

I couldn't believe it the first time I tried it! But yep, same thing second and third time around. I am glad someone else smells it cos I haven't heard anyone mention it so thought I was mad. It's not exactly BR but that vibe.

@@dr.claire.perfume I thought it was a ambroxen? I'm not exactly sure what it is either. It's like a chemically artificial thing that does smell good to me but it's already in a few perfumes I have. It's pretty prominent in perfumes when they have it, the rest almost goes to background. Its hard to explain for me but I smell it in quite a few perfumes. I think it's also in Kate Spade New York Sparkle. I almost bought at as well but I'm trying not to have too many of the same vibe. If you you happen to smell that please let me know if you smell it in there? It's never listed on the notes!😩

I really love narcisso poudree also and have been tempted to buy a bottle ! I haven’t smelt anything lately that blows my socks off to be honest ,I can’t imagine they can bring out anything new and exciting 🤷‍♀️I mean how many different ways can they mix the same notes and get something different than is already out there 🤷‍♀️IMO

Yes I can imagine the job of a perfumer is now very difficult, it's hard to be original, especially on a budget, and also I think they probably rely heavily on new aromachemical development by chemists, cos that's where something new is now going to come from probably but that is very much a slow burn. Narciso Poudrée is beautiful and very ladylike and also a bit prim but I think that's why I love it 😉

I love Musc Noir Rose but unfortunately it doesn’t last on me very long…even if I’ve sprayed it on me several times…that or maybe I just can’t smell it on me after a while🤷🏻‍♀️So envious you get around 5 hours👌 I’m the same re Coral fantasy..beautiful opening and I was tempted to buy it on the spot but I’m glad I walked around a bit and realised I too didn’t enjoy the dry down. It's strange, cos the first time I tried musc noir rose in store I didn't get 3 hours from it, but the second, third and fourth time from the sample, I got much longer, I found that confusing but assumed it was a problem with the in store tester or me not spraying as much in store as with the sample. So in conclusion, 🤷‍♀️ Coral fantasy was disappointing for me, I thought, wow! I love this! And then it just morphed... I think that fruity punchy opening is very much a thing right now. The fragrance companies make openings as enticing as possible to get in store purchases but they need to concentrate on the drydowns too! I am like you, I have a wander around and come back too! I absolutely love the pineapple I've cream and the like of twister lollies so I was right there for it but sadly it didn't stay like that. Those Donna fragrances are weirdly expensive actually. Valentino seems a bit more than most designers...

Hello Claire, I kind of like the smell of l'Eau d' Issey, but a similar perfume so much better from Fragonard witch is Ile d'Amour and this one stays a lot more. Yes I was in Italy last week and there was a huge Fragonard section at the airport. I tried a few but quickly ran out of skin! They were lovely. We have a limited selection in the UK of Fragonard. Thanks for watching 🥰

The strongest are un the golden bottes. They call thèse "Estagnon bottles". The muséum Fragonard in Paris is do lovely and the fabric in Grasse worth to get to visit.

Oh that's a shame, I've not tried musc noir but it's on my list for next time I hit the department store. So many of these disappointed me in the drydown, I feel that's the way fragrances are going sadly. They try to attract your attention with the opening. It's all about that.

I hadn't heard about the Issey Miyake, but it isn't a popular line in the US. I don't think I've seen it at a department store here. I tried born in Roma and Coral one last weekend and I would say they were both nothing special. They were ok, born in Roma was more floral on me than I would of expected. 😂 if we all tested out perfume before buying we wouldn’t have half as much as we do. I’ll try the lemon one next 🥰

Haha, yes, that is very true! I know Born in Roma is generally a crowd pleaser, and yes for me it's just a like. The lemon one is really quite different, but not one I want to buy either. I think the cubes are the ones for me too actually so far. NR fragrances really have a very distinctive house style that means once you have one, the experience is somewhat done. The base is really quite similar.

I have just blind buyed the OG musk noir. I do like the opening but i can't stand the middle and the dry down. I guess that the leather note ruined the haul experience for me. Great review Claire. L’eau D’Issey Pure Petale nectar. Don’t love it. Doubt I’ll be buying any of the ones you reviewed. The only Narciso perfume I like was the musc collection. I was out sniffing perfumes yesterday and tried the Narcisco on paper and it smelt so generic I didn’t even try it on my skin, I did try Black Opium Intense and could barely smell it, don’t know why people think that’s a strong one; just a faint vanilla on me. Perfume is so subjective.

Yes that's so true, extremely subjective 😂 I agree that black opium intense is pretty much vanilla apart from the very slightly bitter opening. It's pure custardy vanilla in the drydown on me. I've not tried the extreme version enough to comment on that really, but for me so far, that one was stronger. I'd say with the Narciso here, this was the best of the 4. I didn't really like the other 3 and I am not rushing to buy the Narciso, but I do like the tuberose and it's definitely one of the better designer releases that I've smelt this year so far.

As far as narcisso Rodriguez fragrances go I think the best is the original eau de toilette in the black bottle. I love tuberose and I am dying to try carnal flower or good girl gone bad by Kilian. I've heard they are really tuberose forward but they are really expensive and where I live I can't easily get samples. I feel reluctant to spend 200 euros on a perfume I haven't tried.

The notes are quite different to the EDP and I wish I'd bought the EDT instead... Great video! I've tried all of these too and found them all pretty meh and underwhelming (especially the Eau & Magnolia....yawn). Agree the opening of Coral Fantasy is really juicy and uplifting, but then it mellows out into nothingness for me. The fact that all of these are flankers I think says a lot about the designer fragrance market.

The musc in Musc Noir is similar to the one in Kayali’s Musc perfume which I don’t like but I think that the rose made it ok for me in the new Rose Musc… I still prefer the musc in the Pure Musc though. 🙂

I always wanted to try Coach perfumes, now I’m not sure 🤔🌸

The EDP is nice but dull, I bought it cos it was buy one get one half price and there was nothing else I wanted and for £10, I thought, why not try it? Wild rose is more interesting to begin but I don't like the drydown, other people might though. Coach Dreams is pretty but nothing wow. Coach floral I hate but I think a lot of people like... I think in general Coach are nothing special so far for me.

I was disappointed with Musc Noir Rose because I was expecting a prominent rose and musk like the name suggest. I was also expecting beast mode and longevity. My expectation was just too high.

Yes it's definitely a try before you buy! I was also expecting the note profile to play very differently to how it did from the name. I was quite surprised! I think I need to try musc noir, people keep telling me that one is good! Thanks for watching ❤️

Most of the fragrances give me a good longivity and sillage before they turn into a skin scent, but Musc Noir Rose, I literally could not find it on my skin 10 minutes after spraying....is it just me.

No, I don't think it is, I think a few people said that. I think experiences with fragrances can somewhat vary depending upon atmospheric conditions and even your surroundings, but for sure people have massively different experiences to other people even in similar conditions. Maybe I should do a video?

I can’t stand For Her. So it sounds like we like similar things. Born in Roma Coral smells good at first then within 10 minutes it smells like a musty basement on my skin.

Hi, I just started buying perfumes and it's all blind buy. Like it's all based on reviews but unfortunately i dont like them much but the D&G L' Imperatrice is what I enjoyed wearing but the longevity not so much. So can you please suggest something which one to get that will lasts long? Im all new to this. Thank you. Idk about my body's PH but anything I put on seems like gone in 30mins. HELP

I think l'imperatrice is short lived on most people unfortunately but you could try an unscented or watermelon / fruity scented moisturiser to extend its life if you don't already use. I don't own l'imperatrice, but I have tried it many times, from the ones that I own, I'd try a fruity or green vanilla, so something like Dolce Garden or Mugler Aura. You could also try something like molecule 01 or a homemade iso e super (you can make it very cheaply). I don't layer fragrances much though, but Joss's fragrance mixology does and might be the person to ask. I hope that helps! ❤️
