Yes it can be overwhelming... Sometimes it's 4 per year or more per house, even for niche, I am glad I don't have a collector mentality, it would be very very expensive 🤣 the tom ford is definitely worth trying but crazily priced 😂

Thank you for the interesting video! I was given a generous 5 ml sample of Narcisso Forever, which I’ve been really enjoying. I am inclined to buy a 50 ml bottle. Recently I had a chance to visit the Miller Harris boutique in Covent Garden and I tried the fig perfume - also, so lovely and unique! It’s on my Christmas wish list! I was impressed with many of the perfumes I tried in the store !

I am on a search for a nice fig and sea perfume, so that Miller Harris seems thrilling. Also, one thing about my choice of perfumes - my first criterium is the bottle quite often. If I am attracted by it, I try, otherwise I don t bother. And this Miller Harris powdery colour and nice shape is to my taste.

It would seem that hydra figue might be the one, the only thing I'd say about it is that it's not a juicy fig, it's more of a dry green fig, but the oceanic marine feel is there and prominent. The Miller Harris bottles are also beautifully textured. They feel cold and soft to hold and look stunning in real life. Have a lovely Sunday 🥰

Thank you for the Hydra Figue tip, it sounds interesting! I haven't tested NR for her forever, though yet another pretty, light white floral take on the NR for her/Lovely theme could be Lovely Sheer, a really enjoyable variation at a nicer pricepoint imo. On a Date sounds even more like I should try it. - This is so interesting, to hear you percieving Amethyst as somewhat stern, contemplative, moody. I fell in love with it last summer, yet I was ill at that time which makes for mixed memories, so I wondered if it is only that, or why I had this moody feeling with Amethyst much more than other favourites of that time. Encre Noire has this dark vibe to many, and Lalique Le Parfum is calmly melancholic to (seemingly only) me. So I came to the personal conclusion that Lalique is the most underrated secretly emo brand. 😅

Thank you! I've not tried the Lovely flankers... I don't think that NR fragrance will be anything new to anyone unfortunately. Hydra figue was a struggle for me sometimes, but then it was very oceanic on some wears. I thought it was interesting though. I have no idea why I think of Amethyst as stern 😂 it feels moody and unhappy to me but I don't have any real life associations with it. I didn't try Encre noir but I would love to. Not sure that's one to blind buy though 😂 hopefully someone has a sample! Thanks for watching 🥰

Hi Dr. Claire! I just want to say that I love your content! I feel like perfumery is an art form, and I really appreciate the way you analyse fragrance. So, thank you! I've tried two of the fragrances in this video including "For Her Forever" and "On a Date". I love most Narciso perfumes, and own 4, but I didn't purchase this one, as I also felt it was quite similar to the EDT and to Lovely (both of which I already own). As for "On a Date", I heard some horrible reviews for it before I was able to smell it for myslef, and I was actually pleasantly surprised. It definitely feels more traditional, but I like the almost "wine" scent in it. I also somehow get a "wet cement" smell, if that makes sense! 😅

Yes perfumery is for sure art! ❤️ The Narciso didn't excite me sadly. I can totally understand not wanting this one if you own a few already and well, if you have lovely then it's a no brainer. I don't get the hate for on a date at all! It's a really friendly lovely easy one that is still interesting and distinctive. I've no idea why it's not been more popular. I absolutely love the blackcurrant in it. And I am going to resniff and see if I can detect the wet cement too! Thanks for watching 🥰

I've only tried On A Date from the scents here. I don't see Narciso fragrances in stores close to me, which is why I never really got into them. If the bottles were more unusual I probably would. I do find them confusing, they're too similar. Occasionally I find a shop that carries Tom Ford on my travels, but the only ones I've seen near me are the Orchids. Miller Harris is a house that interests me, but I haven't found a scent that really compels me to blind buy (or spend money on a sample).

Narciso Rodriguez is rare here too, only in large department stores really. They are really confusing, the names and the colours are just so similar and they continually discontinue seemingly random fragrances. Tom Ford are lovely but just so expensive 😂 from miller Harris, I have tried 5/6 now and I've liked all but one fragrance. I think they are good but very natural and literal. Thanks for watching 🥰

Glad to hear this description of Soleil de Feu! I don’t usually like cinnamon and I’m always bothered by a smokey smell so I can cross that one of my To-Smell List! Lol 😅 I didn’t care for On a Date, very much too green for me and dried down very masculine on me. I’ve never loved the Narciso For Her line, so I’m feeling pretty good about my no-buy! Sometimes it’s a good thing to NOT be interested in fragrances 😅😅

On a date for sure does not at all fit the name or the idea they were trying to convey 😂 yes I love watching a testing video and just not feeling tempted... I really loved soleil de feu. I think it's really interesting how cinnamon or another spice isn't mentioned. To me it's very distinctively there. Thanks for watching 🥰

I think you would love soleil de feu! The opening is wow 😲 I like on a date but it doesn't fit its brief or convey the image they were trying to achieve. It's simply and uncomplicated fruity floral, just a nice one but not Earth shattering 😊 thanks for watching 🥰

A great intro to the newer ones The TF I am not sure if I've sniffed that I actually can't remember which says alot 😅 Loved On a Date actually but it doesn't really fit the name. You're right not mind blowing or new, but it is rather pleasant. You're a big NR fan I can see you not being too blown away by it, especially with it being similar to others. The Hydra Figue sounds like a nightmare in a bottle for me with many of my least favourite notes in it. I don't mind a glass of ouzo tho. And yes your number one is fab

Yes you tried the soleil de feu I think 😉 on a date is just pretty and simple, not everything has to be mind blowing for sure and I think I would wear that one the most often of those featured here. Hydra figue is one that I have been through a cycle with, I'm still not sure exactly what I think of it. I don't want to own it, but it's gone from really not enjoying it to thinking it's really interesting. 🤣 I don't know why I think if amethyst as a unhappy perfume but I do... Maybe the woody musky feel to it? Maybe because it feels a little dark and magical? Not sure 🤷‍♀️

I really love the tom ford in the opening, would I want to wear it on a hot day or at the beach? Probably not though. I am not sure it hits the target really as a summer fragrance, maybe the evening at a push? I guess it the warmth and gourmand feel are too much then it's not going to be a winner for you. Hydra figue was a weird one, I really disliked it on a few wears and then I got into it. I don't feel I'd want a bottle though, the oceanic feel is too much for me. Distinctive though. Hi Francine, it's not a filter. It's the sun, I was filming without closing the blinds and I didn't have my phone plugged in, so it did battery saver mode and ruined my video 🤦‍♀️ that was an error. I never thought of Amethyst as "stern"! Very interesting. Really wish there was more use of blackcurrant in men's-targeted perfumery too. I've actually been eating blackcurrant straight from my garden this past week and the over-ripe ones actually taste like plum. Underutilized to say the least.

Funny you should say that! My friend gave me one of her blackcurrant bushes recently and I've been constantly watering it to try to keep it alive after its move. I love.blackcurrants, they remind me of childhood. I love eating them and I love them in fragrance! I also have ona date in a sample and I really enjoy wearing too. I was contemplating buying a bottle but in the end I went for alien. The Tom Ford one sounds really interesting but unfortunately it is much beyond the price point I am willing to pay for a fragrance. However if I could afford a fragrance from this line I would prefer tubereuse nue. I've heard it's a nuclear one and I adore tuberose anyway.

Yes I agree, I just don't want to spend Tom Ford prices... I don't love many from Tom Ford though thankfully. I think my favourite is Noir de Noir. I get that, it is quite a synthetic smell. I like it for the price point that it is. I don't think it smells at all like NR EDP but a little like the EDT and it's near exact for her forever EDP, it really shocked me.
