That’s true he did I’m just not a huge fan of black trauma movies especially as of late and I feel the awards given to them are often symbolic. I think the subject matter carried the film and not necessarily the actors. Just my two cents

Random story when Soulja Boy came out I was the “goth” girl at school and it was when schools started cracking down 9n cellphones so if your phone rang during class you were dead meat. So as the assumed goth I had Soulja as my ringtone so if it went off during class nobody would be looking at me.
