i agree with the demonslayer take , i think its a solid well rounded shonen story , which is why i believe its pretty famous as of rn , its easy for people to get into , not to dark , not to stupid , not to complicated, its good on everything but it doesnt excels at anything in particular , has ur fair share of emotional moments with fights and fun interesting characters has a solid foundation of everything thats required from a shonen story, which is why i think its mid compared to everything else on the list , it also really reminds me of pokemon for some reason , reach a new town , see someone new , gets stronger with the new enemy (gym leader) , on the way to find the big boss (pokemon champion)

No it's not. It's absolutely convoluted dog shit. The only reason why it's famous in the first place, is because of it's animation. The author doesnt know what she's doing and has ironically drags other mainstream shows like one piece. Before the anime came out, seasonal anime watchers, didn't even expect demon slayer to get an anime. Because at that point it was just another generic demon killing, cool sword color looking show. In other words it excels at failing at everything a part from having 100+ luck on getting an anime with a lot better art than the manga

Bro if you haven't already watch Steins; Gate 0 it's like the second season of it so the total show is around 50ish episodes plus add on the movie they released it'll make you go from saying it's exquisite to pure culture. Like the way it ties the entire story together is near perfection. This shit is cinema fr right up there with Code Geass.

As a fan of fairy tail, I can’t argue with any of your points 😂 Natsu is the worst mc I’ve read/seen and the plot armor friendship power ups are the worst example of the troupe. I enjoy aspects of Dr bc when mashima tries he can make me interesting in a characters arc (gray/Laxus/Lucy) but he sacrifices a lot with comedy and having no consequences in his story lol.

I just wish more adult shows (shows that focous on character internal conflict, rather than another power fantasy) would get adapted

I think it is understatement to say fmab is just above average in all aspects because I think fmab has the best the story in all of anime ( aot could be higher if ending doesn't existed ) Also final arc of the story spanning around 15 episode is incredible where every episode is a 10/10 for me the only anime/ manga I found better than fmab are aot,hxh,berserk and gintama
