Ranking the 2025 Super League Shirts Worst to Best

Just a note on the VX3 gear (which in my case, one of the best kit suppliers we have ever had, all of their gear is top top quality), the logo's are all 3D Rubber for all fan versions of Training kits, merch and shirts, its only the player versions that are printed on :) Pretty cool touch by VX3

Yeah big fans of VX3. I think we scored Salford as one of the best shirts last year too.

The Wigan Vegas shirt looked great on the players who modelled it at the pre-season dinner. The third team shirt made for Wigan Hospice had Liam Marshall giving a heartfelt introduction about it, particularly in relation to the care given to his mother before she sadly died.

We understand it was for the hospice, Good on them for doing that. Our reviews are purely based on how the shirts look. We are split on the Vegas shirt as are many Wigan fans by the sounds of it.

The KR shirt is a nod to Mr Venn (from Hull). I was worried about the pale lilac. Could of gone bolder purple tbh. However, now I’ve bought and tried I’m ok with it. More feminine than the other 2 kits. Loving my KR away shirt. My fave of the 3.

@ I thought the flo link last year would deter the male fans last year, but there was a lot wearing it by the end of the season. I did initially think it was us ladies, but the die hards will just wear what the team wear…

Got to say, that controversial Hull KR third shirt is looking pretty swish when modelled by the players on the club website. Might be another case of "looks better on the pitch than when worn by the casual fan". Attention should also be drawn to the fact that the pattern on the shirt is a tribute to Hull-born John Venn, inventor of the world renown Venn diagram!

Would like a follow up episode at some point once the jerseys have been seen in action lads. Have the feeling that some of the out there alternative strips could be quite decent in real life/telly. Side point, I’ve always found it hard to find Super League or Championship jerseys for purchase online, or at least in one place. Any suggestions for an Aussie abroad?

That's a good point. We did this last year and then had to eat out words once we had seen them on the field. We will re-visit. You're right about finding them all in one place, such a website doesn't seem to exist. You need to go directly to each club most of the time.

Best kits - Hull FC and Wigan. Traditional, bold, iconic and you can tell what their brief was to the manufacturer. Worst kit - Huddersfield. What have they told the manufacturer that they wanted? Baffling. Not sure how anybody at the club would say to Oxen "Yes, that screams Huddersfield and just the look we were looking for. Thank you". Theres so much more you can do with their colours but they very often fail.

I absolutely love both Salford shirts they have smashed it. I hate the Catalan home shirt and the Wigan usa shirt but love the usa Warrington

The Hull KR 3rd shirt actually makes you feel ill when looking at it for too long. Hull FC and Leeds home kits both superb, matching tradition with a couple of modern twists - these are my 2 best of the year. The red V is much too big on the Saints shirt

@@rugbyleagueoutsiders i support Hull fc and it pains me to say it but i quite like the PSG rovers kit. Think our 3rd kit with the MKM stadium design is excellent but really like the Leeds home kit, mainly for the collar

Re the Wigan kits. They do normally have a weird one every three years however with them being fairly normal the past few years, probably the most recognisable jersey in the English rugby league, why change it?

@@rugbyleagueoutsiders I think most prefer the traditional ones, the tie die pink thing in 2011 the diagonal hoops in 2014 did not go down well. Favourite all time, 1994 is up the there, the late 80’s ones are great. I have a soft spot for 1997 having grown up then even though it’s pretty odd 😂 the modern era the black away adidas in 2003 and home 2006 are up there. Thanks for coming to my Wigan kit Tedtalk.

Leeds' third shirt is nice but making a shirt commemerating getting battered in the WCC is just bizarre. Although it's another oxen copy & paste job the home shirt is decent. Wakey always have a class home kit.

I think overall the Super League kits across the board are alright this season. You cannot change the St Helens shirt, the Red V is part of our identity. It would be like if Hull F.C. said "We are ditching the black and white, we are going to wear Amber and another colour". The only thing Saints can do is slightly tweak the Red V from time to time.

I would be interested to see what other kit manufacturers would do with the Saints V. I think it just needs a little detail to keep it fresh.

We agree actually. The leopards re-brand has been genius on so many levels and everything the club is doing with game day experience is awesome.. Still don't like the home kit though. 😆

@rugbyleagueoutsiders For the first time in decades I've seen mums and dads with their kids on match days wearing Leopard shirts and you can see the buzz on their faces. Leigh has been a bit of a sleeping giant for too long and statistically attendances compared to Town population puts them right up near the top of SL. Mostly down to Derek and the rebrand 👍
