While you are a boardgame youtuber, the fact that you have not played all the games on 100 makes us relate more with you and shows that your reviews are geniune, unlike some other youtubers who play everything, are on top of every release and love everything. Great video

I like the BGG ratings. Cuz otherwise you end up with what seems like the “KZbinr” rating scale of, no fun at all is a 5, best game ever is a 9 cuz they don’t want to give things 10s cuz they arnt “perfect”. 5-9 it too small a range for nuance

Which BGG rating recommendation do you use? The one on your collection page or the one on the individual game pages? Their suggested values are different depending on where you're at on the site.

@@tymoore253 that's why I switched to the 5 point scale because in my head 6/10 is a bad score but 3/5 is an okay/good-ish score, even though it's the same percentage. Just being on a ten point scale I'd fall into that trap for sure.

Of the games you haven't played, I would recommend Clans of Caledonia (I think you'll really like that one), Kanban (my favorite Lacerda), Teotihuacan and Underwater Cities (both solid euros). But I've only played 46 of the top 100 so what do I know...

Have you done a video on how to teach board games? It’s possible I’m just playing with the wrong crowd but I love a chonky game but I have no idea how to properly teach one without losing people to boredom and sounding like a teacher. Shut up and Sit down did a good video on it but I’m not subscribed to them. (I.E. I’d love to see your take and opinions, wink wink)

I think you're wrong on Concordia.....a 3 is really unfair....and 2 for War of the Ring??? The game is a masterpiece even if you don't like the IP or the mechanics. To have a game with 2 totally asymmetric powers that remains well balanced is what makes it so special. Rating it a 2 just makes no sense, IMHO.
