A reason for why we don't see the second Doctor regenerate into the third doctor could be because I think I heard there was possiblity that the show was going end then.

That's correct. The Doctor was left spinning into darkness as they didn't know if the show was coming back.

For me, the 12th Doctor will always be the best. Thematically it's beautiful, the visuals are excellent and it just felt definitive. Great video.

I think 5th to 6th might be my fav. The Spinning is a redo of when it happened with Tom but Anthony going full Evil Master at the end is just...Pure GOLD! Love it! 2nd would be 2nd to 3 just for the OH'You're Making me Giddy!"

My favourite regeneration has to be either the second doctor to the third doctor one from the war game’s colourisation as i think it is brilliantly realised from confusion dials original video or the eleventh doctors one as it is just such a poetic send off to the eleventh doctors era

@doctorwhoproductions834 that's a completely different issue. He is the Doctor no matter what, as was the Other. The War Chief and the Master are different characters. It's been contradicted in several novels as well.

I totally agree with the thoughts on the 6th regeneration due to the circumstances. The 2nd and 6th regenerations are the only ones in classic Who where both actors are not present to see a full transition. I also liked your comments on the 8th Doctor. Man, I would die to see a miniseries of him, but I don’t think the BBC will do that in fear of the ratings going through the roof beating their flagship series. Same thing why they didn’t release a season 7 trailer because they didn’t want another embarrassment beating the trailer of the current series.

The greatest regeneration is the 5th's. Explosive, dramatic and emotional, the perfect end to Davisons finest performance. The fever induced regeneration effect was great in 84 and is still great today. Also it was fast, the endless speeches of new Who lose the drama of the regeneration scenes in classic Who. Also, Colin gets the best first line of a new Doctor ever!

I'll never accept that abomination War Games in colour as a proper regeneration that's all in RTD's vision which I do not share. The spinning Doctor will always be the proper Second Doctor's regeneration to me and it has a creepy and mysterious vibe to it RTD has clearly missed a few things Troughton's hair was getting greyer if you look closer where he says "Is this some kind of joke?" then his face disappears as he's spinning how is that not a regeneration to him? I like it. I prefer the blue swirl to Colin Baker's regeneration because that's what makes Classic Who creative, I hate when they add in these new golden effects from NuWho into Classic it's feels out of place it's bad enough they won't change the regeneration effects in NuWho but we don't want it enforced into our Classic Who no thanks. But anyway I like all the regenerations except Tennant's Tenth Doctor his was way over-dramatic.

Hartnell to Troughton. That was incredibly well done for the time. Never liked the sparkly orange shit in the NuWho regenerations.
