The shower hanging scene was the scariest to me because it seems really realistic but so hopeless with the tub floor being slippery. When the blood vessels in his eyes popped… that was one of the scariest things to see as a kid

i think what makes that scene even more terrifying is the fact that Todd is a good dude who just lose his brother and no one is able to save him even when he is in a house with his parents.

I totally agree on 3 being the best! The nail gun and tanning bed scenes are truly iconic and MEW is a fantastic actress. It's just the easiest to watch, it feels like a dumb horror flick that you can turn your brain off for and and truly enjoy.

You can have your opinion but I personally do not like FD3 the acting is not good they, talk about how Wendy is a control freak to much and yes the kills are iconic but they do not make the entire movie, with the bad acting the bad character writing is bad. its so crazy that an entire generation has been scarred from going on rollercoasters and using tanning beds because of FD3, she truly was the moment! even tho my personal is hands down FD5, i just have such a soft spot for it

my mom took me on errands once with her and she stopped outside a tanning salon but i didn’t know she was going there, so i just watched her go inside but i was worried. i remember feeling very relieved when she walked out fine.

I watched Final Destination 5 for the first time last year, shockingly, and the entire time I was like, "this movie feels so 90's..." and THEN.... best twist. I think my favorite Final Destination movie is the original, honestly. I just have a lot of nostalgia around seeing it in theaters!

The elevator scene scared me so bad growing up, because when I was 6 I had my hand stuck in the door of an elevator and it almost ripped my finger off. So it hits close to home to me

The Ashley’s tanning bed for sure!! But the one that really messed me up and always gets me stressed is the lottery winner as he keeps thinking he gets lucky surviving in his apartment to ultimately die by the ladder in his eye that one stresses me out every time

I love all 5 films but FD 2 is by far my favorite - the greatest opening crash, mostly adult characters instead of annoying teens, brilliant deaths, interesting way to cheat the death, overall atmosphere. The original is the scariest though and Alex (Devon Sawa) showed by far the best acting as the lead!

The first 2 are best to me because they follow the same storyline. I find the series as a whole disappointing though, I feel that it should be more than just mindlessly killing almost everyone off. Alex dying off screen specifically is the worst choice. Part of the reason I like the 2nd is the fact it’s the only one where the characters are confirmed to have survived. After that I’d say the 5th is best

The first death in the first movie is still the most anxiety inducing for me because as an uncoordinated person, I slip in the bathroom all the dang time. Candice’s death in 5 is so incredibly tense until the ending where she folds up like a pretzel. A goofy ending to a great bit of suspense.

Honestly i dont think its a goofy ending mainly because of the sound of all those bones cracking and i remember when i first watched it i was waiting so anxiously for the death and i knew when i saw the smoke go that was it but i was NOT expecting her to be in the position she was, and i think my jaw dropped lmao

My favorite movie is Final Destination 2. The scene was a freeway pileup with a log truck falling down the road and hit a police car. Then, a car transporter hits a red pickup in the middle of the road and explodes.😨. And the movie filmed in Canada.💙💙💙💙💙👍

The tanning bed scene STILL scares me so bad to this day. I used to always skip that scene in the movie after the first time I saw it 😂 I've never even been in a tanning bed but wow, seeing them be burned alive was horrific!!

The car pileup scene is still the most horrifying. I think about it almost every time that I'm on the highway. Plus, something similar allegedly happened in Georgia. "Final Destination 2's highway pile-up is said to be inspired by a 125 vehicle pile-up that happened on Interstate 75 in Catoosa County, Georgia, which resulted in the death of 4 people and caused around 40 additional injuries." -- Screenrant

I've heard there's going to be a FD 6 and it's going to be focused on the paramedics, doctors, first responders and firefighters (because these ppl literally face death on a regular basis) and I think it's such an interesting concept! For what I've seen, the production is quite late bcs of the pandemic and there was supposed to be a trailer this year. Idk if any of this is actually true but if it is, I'm so so so excited!!! FD is my favorite guilty pleasure movie series!

Back in high school a classmate's mom was killed by that. I live in a rural New England logging state and those kind of trucks are driving around all the time and are infamous for being lax on their safety and that one really hit home with me. I think if you live or grew up in one of those states with logging etc that one really resonates yeah.

Todd’s in Part 1 MESSED me up as a kid. I used to refuse to watch it when I’d rewatch the movie. Terry’s is also super iconic. Agree with you that Nora’s in FD2 is amazing, same with Erin in FD3. I also kinda like Kat’s in part 2 ‘cause it doesn’t even feel like death was after her, that was just an unfortunate accident - I don’t like anything in Part 4, TBH. Candace, in part 5 for sure !

I think the first and 2nd are best because they follow the same storyline. After that I say 5th because of the ending tying back to the first and you felt sorry for them. I notice that Sam is the first protagonist to be shown dying clean. Alex was offscreen, Kimberly survived, Wendy unknown, Nick was x rayed and then it ends in which case you could even argue it was another vision (probably not)

I enjoy 2 specifically because it has the continuity, which gives it room to expand. 3 and 4 are mainly just people trying to understand what we as an audience already know, but 2 introduces death working backwards and maybe a way to "defeat" it. 3 has the pictures, yeah, but its useless. 5 has characters finding out what we already, too, but it still introduced a new way to possibly survive and includes an actual antagonist to one of the movies. 2 makes me excited to see what else they could do in future installments, but 3 and mainly 4 just felt repetitive.

5 has always been the best for me. Actual good characters that you care about, the whole thing about killing someone else and taking their lifespan is really interesting, and the twist at the end is incredible. The way that they subtlety hint that it's 2000 throughout the entire movie is great. (namely the pervert's acupuncture coupon having a 2000 expiration date in the corner, and it's the only sequel where they don't mention the events of the first movie.) Also, the gymnastics scene is without a doubt the most well executed scene in the franchise. Everything about that scene was done to perfection to keep you on the edge of your seat. I personally would have switched 5 and 3 on my ranking just because I can't stand a single character in 3.

You say everything I feel so eloquently. I’m so glad you said FD 3 is the best because I totally agree. I actually saw it before any of the others and the whole photograph thing freaked me out so much that it’s the only one that actually scared me. One of my biggest fears is actually rollercoasters and theme parks so that’s also probably why I found it so creepy. I just found it so original compared to the others.

I think Final Destination 4 should’ve maybe just started with the subway accident at the end of Final Destination 3, and just focus on another group of people who are on that train but who managed to escape after seeing the premonition. Maybe that would’ve been kinda boring because we’ve already seen that accident but it’s definitely a more relatable fear and I like the idea of the movies being more true sequels to each other. Like the second movie with the "ripples".

Final Destination 3 was my real introduction to the series when I was a kid. Watched it at my friends house. Continued to watch it as I grew up. As a theme park lover and season pass holder, the rollercoaster one scared me way more than driving because I wasn't old enough to drive back then. Also to add, I loved the choose your fate DVD because when I first saw it I had a crush on her boyfriend that rides the rollercoaster and if you save him the movie ends so fast LMFAO

I remember seeing The final destination in 3D in theaters it was my first final destination movie and actually taught it was pretty awesome it was my first time seeing a horror movie in 3D and it actually did make me jump out of my seat a few times! I love all of the final destination movies, except for the 4th one. The 3rd movie is my favorite, especially since it's what got me into the franchise. The train scene in the 3rd movie is one of my favorite scenes in the franchise. The most nerve-wracking scene for me was in Alex's premonition when some of his classmates were getting sucked out of the airplane. The 1st movie made me so scared of getting on airplanes.

I also love how cheesy the fourth movie is, and the race scene was legitimately scary to me because my dad used to take me to races all the time, and I grew up where Dale Earnhardt did, so I constantly heard about how he died. Also, my grandpa says he once almost got hit by a tire when he was at a race, and that did not help lol

The casting for Final Destination 3 was perfect..... especially Wendy her acting was very convincing and the overall movie was great

I had never thought about the 4th film's inciting incident being less relatable but you're totally right. I have thought about Final Destinations when on a plane, rollercoaster, driving over a bridge and ESPECIALLY if seeing a log truck on the road, but have never been to or had a desire to go to a motor race. That was such a good observation.
