The shower hanging scene was the scariest to me because it seems really realistic but so hopeless with the tub floor being slippery. When the blood vessels in his eyes popped… that was one of the scariest things to see as a kid

You can have your opinion but I personally do not like FD3 the acting is not good they, talk about how Wendy is a control freak to much and yes the kills are iconic but they do not make the entire movie, with the bad acting the bad character writing is bad. I watched Final Destination 5 for the first time last year, shockingly, and the entire time I was like, "this movie feels so 90's..." and THEN.... best twist. I think my favorite Final Destination movie is the original, honestly. I just have a lot of nostalgia around seeing it in theaters!

I love all 5 films but FD 2 is by far my favorite - the greatest opening crash, mostly adult characters instead of annoying teens, brilliant deaths, interesting way to cheat the death, overall atmosphere. The original is the scariest though and Alex (Devon Sawa) showed by far the best acting as the lead!

The first 2 are best to me because they follow the same storyline. I find the series as a whole disappointing though, I feel that it should be more than just mindlessly killing almost everyone off. Alex dying off screen specifically is the worst choice. Part of the reason I like the 2nd is the fact it’s the only one where the characters are confirmed to have survived. After that I’d say the 5th is best

The first death in the first movie is still the most anxiety inducing for me because as an uncoordinated person, I slip in the bathroom all the dang time. Candice’s death in 5 is so incredibly tense until the ending where she folds up like a pretzel. A goofy ending to a great bit of suspense.

The car pileup scene is still the most horrifying. I think about it almost every time that I'm on the highway. Plus, something similar allegedly happened in Georgia. "Final Destination 2's highway pile-up is said to be inspired by a 125 vehicle pile-up that happened on Interstate 75 in Catoosa County, Georgia, which resulted in the death of 4 people and caused around 40 additional injuries." -- Screenrant

I've heard there's going to be a FD 6 and it's going to be focused on the paramedics, doctors, first responders and firefighters (because these ppl literally face death on a regular basis) and I think it's such an interesting concept! For what I've seen, the production is quite late bcs of the pandemic and there was supposed to be a trailer this year. Idk if any of this is actually true but if it is, I'm so so so excited!!! FD is my favorite guilty pleasure movie series!

Back in high school a classmate's mom was killed by that. I live in a rural New England logging state and those kind of trucks are driving around all the time and are infamous for being lax on their safety and that one really hit home with me. I think if you live or grew up in one of those states with logging etc that one really resonates yeah.

I enjoy 2 specifically because it has the continuity, which gives it room to expand. 3 and 4 are mainly just people trying to understand what we as an audience already know, but 2 introduces death working backwards and maybe a way to "defeat" it. 3 has the pictures, yeah, but its useless. 5 has characters finding out what we already, too, but it still introduced a new way to possibly survive and includes an actual antagonist to one of the movies. 2 makes me excited to see what else they could do in future installments, but 3 and mainly 4 just felt repetitive.

I think the first and 2nd are best because they follow the same storyline. After that I say 5th because of the ending tying back to the first and you felt sorry for them. I notice that Sam is the first protagonist to be shown dying clean. Alex was offscreen, Kimberly survived, Wendy unknown, Nick was x rayed and then it ends in which case you could even argue it was another vision (probably not)

5 has always been the best for me. Actual good characters that you care about, the whole thing about killing someone else and taking their lifespan is really interesting, and the twist at the end is incredible. The way that they subtlety hint that it's 2000 throughout the entire movie is great. (namely the pervert's acupuncture coupon having a 2000 expiration date in the corner, and it's the only sequel where they don't mention the events of the first movie.) Also, the gymnastics scene is without a doubt the most well executed scene in the franchise. Everything about that scene was done to perfection to keep you on the edge of your seat. I personally would have switched 5 and 3 on my ranking just because I can't stand a single character in 3.

Todd’s in Part 1 MESSED me up as a kid. I used to refuse to watch it when I’d rewatch the movie. Terry’s is also super iconic. Agree with you that Nora’s in FD2 is amazing, same with Erin in FD3. A little bit of knowledge here. Decapitation by elevator is actually possible. There was a nurse in China about 8 years ago that this happened to. The doors opened and as she was exiting it, it collapsed and the way she got stuck, the elevator kept going and decapitated her. There’s even a censored video of it on a news report available on KZbin, freaky stuff 😥

Final Destination 3 was my real introduction to the series when I was a kid. Watched it at my friends house. Continued to watch it as I grew up. As a theme park lover and season pass holder, the rollercoaster one scared me way more than driving because I wasn't old enough to drive back then. Gotta agree with you on all counts as far as the ranking. #2 has always been my personal favorite, for weird reasons because I'm weird lol. My favorite scene is the moment when Kim sees the newspaper article with the words "new life" in the headline, which gives her the crazy idea to steal an ambulance and drive it into the lake, drowning herself so she can be revived and therefore "cheat death." I love how afterward, Death "crashes the party" so to speak, as if to say "Ha, nice try!" Oh, and I suffer from driving anxiety too, also thanks in part to that premonition scene, so you're not alone. Can't wait for the tier video on this! Keep 'em coming! 😁

I love all of the final destination movies, except for the 4th one. The 3rd movie is my favorite, especially since it's what got me into the franchise. The train scene in the 3rd movie is one of my favorite scenes in the franchise. The most nerve-wracking scene for me was in Alex's premonition when some of his classmates were getting sucked out of the airplane. The 1st movie made me so scared of getting on airplanes.

I think Final Destination 4 should’ve maybe just started with the subway accident at the end of Final Destination 3, and just focus on another group of people who are on that train but who managed to escape after seeing the premonition. Maybe that would’ve been kinda boring because we’ve already seen that accident but it’s definitely a more relatable fear and I like the idea of the movies being more true sequels to each other. Like the second movie with the "ripples".

Personally, one of my favorite death scenes is Billy's. I think the set up is done beautifully. And it's quick and clean but super effective. Like you know what's going to happen the whole scene but it still hits you when you watch Billy's head roll along the ground.

This franchise is one of my favorites to the point that I have this tradition in which I HAVE to watch one of this films every time I have to do something related to one of the films. Like, I watch FD 1 before taking a flight, I watch FD 2 before going on a road trip and just like that which every film and relevant thing I do.

My favourite death scene is probably Valarie. But the one that scares me the most is the pool. Being stuck at the bottom, your intestines ripped out slowly, with people just going about their lives above and being unable to see you. It messes me up. We grew up learning how to swim and I've always been scared of the giant grates in the bottom of pools.

Loved this ranking! I'd switch up first and second place thou because Final Destination 2 will always hold a special place in my nostalgic heart (although I caught myself rewatching the third one most often). The fire escape death scene from FD2 will always be my favorite, it's so hilarious and deserved :D

3 is the best (imo),and the scariest part, i just love the monologues,, your fear is from just a sense of having no control,, ,, but this fear is more than just being scared ,its like a presence, like a living thing always with me,,

This video coming out inspired me to have a FD marathon before watching it and turns out we have very similar opinions! I think 2 has to be my favourite though just because of the nostalgia ist gives me and the logger truck is just so iconic. But 3 is only in second place by a fraction. Can't wait for the tier ranking!

The gymnastics death for me will always be one of the scariest most traumatic horror movie death I’ve watched, purely because I first watched the movie when I was 8 years old and was in a gymnastic program at the time

Final Destination 4 is probably the highest grossing because it was in 3D, tickets for 3D movies cost more so their numbers are typically inflated somewhat.
