Kawhi was the leading scorer on the games they won. He was 1 point behind Tony Parker who was the leading scorer for the series. He was by far the best defender on the court. Also the 28PPG Lebron had, a good amount of the points he had were in garbage minutes because the games weren't close, and Kawhi wasn't guarding him. Kawhi held him to 8PPG one on one. This was nothing like Iguodala, Kawhi wholly deserved it. Not to mention the iconic moment where Lebron cussed when he saw Kawhi checking in.

When Iggy was on the court, you could literally see the pace of the game switch entirely. When they put him on LeBron, his efficiency drastically dropped. His numbers were very high because of the first 2-3 games before Kerr decided to keep Iggy on LeBron every second they shared the court. Yes he had good all around numbers, but his scoring wasn't the same. Still, he is at the bottom of the list. But lets not undermine his effort. He also upped his offensive game compared to previous three series.

LBJ in game 3: 40/12/8 .441 eFG% LBJ in game 4: 20/12/8 .341 eFG% LBJ in game 5: 40/14/11 .485 eFG% LBJ in game 6: 32/18/9 .424 eFG% Iggy locked LBJ down quite a bit during game 4, for sure, but that's it. LBJ had a bad eFG% (for his standards, that's average for a player like Kobe for example) during the games he was primarly defended by Iggy, but he had a bad eFG% overall during all of the playoffs in 2015. He was at only at .440 eFG% during the 2015 playoffs while is carreer average in the playoffs is at .520 eFG%. LBJ had an average of .423 eFG% against Iggy, that's a .017 difference from LBJ average during the 2015 playoffs. It's nothing, it's marginal. Iggy +/- is pretty good but just a bit better than Curry, a player who was supposed to be a target defensively at the time. Iggy, at best, was the most important player in Game 4, a game that would have been lost by the Cavs even if LBJ had scored 40 points. That's great, but that's only one game of the six, and it was a blowout anyways. And yes, the eye-test might indicate that Iggy's impact on LBJ performance was really high, I'm absolutely ok with that. But when the eye-test conlusion isnt really corroborated by any statistical evidence I dont think we should push that conclusion as some sort of truth. Iggy was an important part of GSW's victory, that's for sure, but to say he's the MOST important part is a bit of an exaggeration. The Warriors can win without Iggy, but they can't win without Curry or Draymond. TL;DR: Iggy has no good reasons to be the finals MVP.

I really like your channel but yall need to get LeBron meat out of your mouths because damn like tell me you think Lechoke is the goat with out saying it. When we all know Jordan is taking that shot not someone else but LeBron gets credit for it like what. I have never seen someone get credit for a play that they didn't even make or take. Like both big shots in his career that got him two rings he didn't take and he actually missed.

They said he had the greatest defensive play in history 😂

So I guess Jordan is overrated too since two of his teammates won Finals closeout games for him. Stop hating.
@x-man9473 Жыл бұрын
@@the757general2None of his teammates won closeout games for him. MJ closed out every series. 2 teammates hit like 1 shot and the Bulls had the lead while this happened.

thats how jordan plays. this is how bron plays. bron isnt trying to be jordan. He never wanted to and doesnt care about him either@@x-man9473

stats dont make players great. analytics doesnt make players great. a player can go 0-20 from the field and hit a game winning shot and the ONLY thing that matters is the team win. people who put major importance in stat lines are fooling themselves. hitting less than half your shots is not impressive

@@daviesugo7641 The KD Warriors were an overpowered team and the Cavs never had a chance. LeBron deserved to be ranked that high.
