I mean, thats the exact problem. Healers can harm stakes of a story. They need to be properly explained in their capabilities in order to work well, and imo, Naruto doesnt do a horrible job with this. I mean, I cant think of many cases of healer based revival, and we know that some procedures are difficult and sometimes impossible. The stakes dont become whether or not this character dies, but whether or not they get saved.

I feel like in stories healers should be shown healing more. Usually healing in shows are just a character making green energy that heals but we need to see the healers struggle to heal and have more nuance techniques

I think this can really depend. There can be moments were healers suddenly appear at the last minute and saves the day, Naruto with Guy and Tsunade with the other Kages. But on the other hand it can feel wasted or just downright robs alot of emotion from the show, the worst in Naruto imo is Pain brining everybody back to life

Tbh Tsunade is legit the female character done right in Naruto. Aside from being immensely powerful, she has quite good backstory. She was considered to be the best medical ninja of her time and STILL failed to treat her brother and lover which ultimately caused her develop fear of blood, and left her life as a ninja into a world of gambling. Edit: Yeah I know there are other good female characters like Konan, Hinata and Granny Chiyo but since this video was about Hokages I meant to say that Tsunade is a well written character. She is my favourite female character in Naruto.

Via the novel's statements, Kakashi is stated to have increased his combat power, while he has loss his ability to use MKS & Chidori he has learn Techniques in order to replace them, meaning that yes, he could technically could clap MKS. So kakashi deserves to be in top spots. I could say he is betwen the 3th and 4th spot, being higher than Hiruzen but having a good competition with Tobirama.

He could catch up to both Orochimaru, Edo Hashirama and Edo Tobirama at the same time while extremely old, rusty and way beyond the age to actually fight. Sure, none used their strongest techniques but it still easily puts him as one of the strongest. In his prime, I think the fact he was estimated to have been the strongest isn't to consider lightly, as he was alive and trained by both the first and the second, and knew the fourth very well. Therefore it's not weightless assumption: he was compared to the three of them, and estimated as the strongest. And the fact he, their student, doesn't refute this statement despite his humble nature is more relevant than we think. Now of course he's not as experienced in fighting as them, and he doesn't have Chakra reserves as big as say Hashirama. So it's hard to say but I think it's safe to assume he was at the very least above minato

Yes dude has lost his Sharingan but he gained a lot more chakra and he kept all the Justus he stole. Losing Kamui and Susaono makes him a lot weaker in some aspects but again the amount of chakra needed for the Sharingan is way to much any normal non Uchiha ninja and that Kakashi could even use a lot of chakra while perfectly using the Sharingan just means without it he can outlast most people in terms of chakra. Hokage Kakashi may even beat the 3rd and 2nd Hokage because he is also one of the smartest fighters in Naruto.

I’ll make a better list with feats and statements: 6. Tsunade- Stated by Madara to be leagues weaker than Hashirama, considering that she has healing jutsu as her main strength and but still couldn’t match Hashirama even with 100 seals. 5. Hiruzen: I would want to place Hiruzen higher because it states that he was stronger than his predecessors in his prime. But since Iruka didn’t know much about the First and Second Hokage and considering that he was getting bullied by much weaker reincarnations of the First and Second (even if he was old) says a lot. If it was prime Hiruzen the list would fluctuate. 4. Tobirama: this man gets carried because of his intellect in creating ninjutsu and his large arsenal of abilities. He, although couldn’t be as strong as his brother, was still a part of the Senju clan and was blessed with immense physical capabilities and a large pool of chakra. 3. Minato: Anything Tobirama does, Minato does better. It has been stated by Tobirama himself that Minato is faster and more capable in using ninjutsu than him. Hell, he even used the flying raijin better than the inventor. With half of Kurama and a brilliant mind on his side, Minato is a force to be reckoned with. 2. Kakashi: Now this is controversial, but I would say that Hokage Kakashi ranks between the War Kakashi and DMS Kakashi while taking into account that his chakra was constantly being drained due to the strain in his eyes because of not being an Uchiha, and without the constant maintenance of the sharingan, Kakashi has now more chakra to pour into his abilities and make them stronger (purple lightning). He also said that he trained after the war. 1. Hashirama: self-explanatory

My ranking would from weakest to strongest would be Tsunade, Hiruzen, Tobirama, Kakashi, Minato, Hashirama and Naruto

Tsunade wasn't very powerful. But she was good at keeping the village together and solving conflicts. So even though she is weak, she was still an amazing hokage.

A "strong female character" isn't just about literal power level. Tsunade is probably the best written female character in the series, with an actual character arc getting over her fear of blood.

Homage Kakashi is underrated, he created and kept up a mud wall that was supposedly “impossible” to do so. This same mud wall went around an entire hidden village and also withstood attacks from many Jonin Level Shinobi. This was before he became hokage and since this point it is stated he had trained even more

I mean Tsunade is strong in series but I don't think Kishimoto being able to write Strong female characters would change her placing unless it would drastically effect her power scale and even then maybe not that much. I personally usually put Hiruzen above Tobirama. Fine enough list even if there are changes this feels like the most un-agreed upon topic because of variations and other such.

I would say that the kakashi hiruzen and tobirama are interchangeable because we don't know how strong Madara was at the time and hokage kakashi is actually his second strongest form and because we don't have much to go on with tobirama besides what you said about him.

The difference in strength between the strongest man and the strongest woman is about the same in Naruto as it is in real life. For me, if a woman character is physically strong or weak doesn’t matter almost at all. As long as she’s got a will to fight and do good.

It was said in the kakashi novel that hokage kakashi is stronger than sharingan kakashi(normal not duel EMS)
