@@justmechanicthings more like a highly over romanticized version of original tale. The Romans altered much of the Greek myths when they rewrote Greek mythology into their own myths. Greek gods and Roman gods are 1 to 1 in the roles they play, but their stories were often rewritten in a more “tragically romantic” kind of light. As time went on, and more adaptations were made to the source material, we lost more and more of the original tales, kind of like whisper down the lane, until we reached Disney’s Hercules.
