First of all, i have no idea why i wrote 2022 at 7:15 (Pandemic trauma maybe?) But ok some clarification as to why the -60% military upkeep for fascism is better than 40% resource output and 165% factory output (with policies) for Communism. Tax income will and is always better than resource income. They can gradually develop and is just so many more times stronger at the beginning of the game like 4-20x. And Factory is very useless by the time you get communism because most likely than not all ai countries will already be buying the necessary consumer goods they need from other players. You don't need that many factories, and the factories you do actually need will already have been built around 2019 and 2020. But those bonuses does increase the income by a sizable amount but it cannot compare to the -60% military upkeep. It bascically makes it so that all the other ideologies need more than double their income to keep up because military upkeep -60% is more than half the cost of the military. Sure Communism earns a little more but fascism can have a bigger army and invade much easier than communism and doesn't need a policy hence why i made it this ranking. (Also i know that Brightsaurus uploaded a similar video like 2 days ago but i had plenty of work at school and couldn't focus as much on quality as i wanted, but next week will be different, hopefully)

also for fascism u can increase ideology support, and with all of it, (the policy and the research) u get about -80% army upkeep, with the capital fleet doctrine, and fuel saving thing or just having the middle east with some mines and research, aircraft carriers become something easy to spam (in late game of course) it u had communism, sure the oil isn't a problem, but the +1mil upkeep, with the -tax reduction, yea not fun

objection: non aligned has a dedicated policy that gives it a decent economy, insane stability, and some occupation resistance at the cost of war justification time increases. It's often seen as Non-Align's bonuses. Despite what you say about it only being good for neutral nations, you can often activate it when invaded to help you survive then de-activate it when you need to invade AI, making it fairly decent if you have political power to spare.

I have to say that in late game (that time when only 4-5 peoples are still in the server), democracy just is better in every way, by that time you'll have a lot of stability bonuses (tech tree, policies, consumers) and it's amazing for both small neutral countries because they can make huge armies and out develop bigger nations, and amazing for big countries because they exponentially get richer to the point that, as long as you're not playing dumbly, you are virtually invincible. Democracy also helps you to develop your cities really quickly and all of its cons can be solved by the stupid amount of money you have.

I play Non-aligned, many people forget how much resistance is worth. It also has one of the best policies. It does not have any -. Forts in all cities and max political makes you be undestroyable. This isn't the BEST ideology to play as, if you are a small country though. I recommend trying it at least once and experimenting it. Just great ideology overall and amazing ideology when you expect that the fighting in a big war will be happening mainly in your land.

Communism needs to get a buff. Especially after the electronics update which is a problem since I go Communist almost most games. But also now fascism got another buff they should do something like military upkeep maybe make it in communism now I have no idea. Edit: I understand about the consumer goods as communism is really good but like you have to remember that like this guys said taxes will beat resources and that makes communism more useless except for resources output which is useful for more uranium but uranium is hard to get. But then again uranium was never really profitable.

Wrong, democracy needs a buff. Justification penalty, stability penalty and manpower penalty almost negate the tax income and unrest reduction democracy offers. I would like to note from personal experience with playing as democracies that if you stack enough stability bonuses together (Consumer goods, maxing stability tech in political tree and welfare act has generally allowed me to completely negate the stability hits although it's worth noting you can't reach this stage until about late game (maybe 2026?) I'm not denying that it's still crap at military but just a pro tip from me playing as nations starting as democracies like USA, india and obviously the best country ever brazil

Personally, I like democracy alot because of; 1. Big boy money advantage 1A. Because of money, I can pay for more research income which means better stuff 2. Stability pretty chill 3. And more that I know but can't think of right now Bad side of democracy; 1. If you like declaring war, say goodbye to your stability and your life 2. Not much manpower increase or capacity Basically Democracy is good for money, but if you play it smart and master it you can be really good with it since you'll be good economically. And with good econonmy, you can maybe even have a bigger military and stronger than other nations. Just don't expect stability benifits or military price cuts like the other ideoligies

With consumer goods the communism factory out put buff can square to 5.0625 (without policies) due to the intermediate factories needed for consumer goods. Also you can get communism without spending any political power by justifying a subjugation war on a country that starts with communism, force peacing it, and conceding the force ideology term. Also you can counter balance all the debuffs in the following way: Stability debuff: Consumer goods and since you won't too save political power for ideology you can use press censorship to tide you over. Resource debuff: The amount of extra resources you have to buy to counterbalance this is very small. Factory output debuff: Counterbalanced by Communism's +125% factory output buff and while you have the Forced Regime Change modifier you get a net 75% factory output buff because the Forced Regime Change Modifier gives a -50% factory output debuff and 125-50=75 Political power gain debuff: You save 750 political power with my strategy which more than counterbalances this. Also I have no Idea what you mean about tax income being about 4-20x times better than resource income at the beginning of the game (you are wrong). So communism enjoyers like me will get there ideology with the forced regime change debuff wearing off in at most about 2 years, whereas fascism fans like you will have to wait much longer. Also building more factories is frequently not a fix because rise of nations has a big problem with resource hogs. Also I know that you cannot sell all your production but with communism it is enough so that you can get an overpowered income (india is usually an AI in my experience), and at that point the main thing that matters is manpower, which Communism is amazing at. Also, in my experience, most players do not use the new meta and when they do it is a very small problem or not a problem at all. Also I have no Idea why you said Communism "needs" a policy. Overall you are wrong and I am surprised that a skilled player like you does not know about the subjugation war strategy.

The ideology needs a bit of work to make everything balanced. For some reason, democracy doesn't have like stability increase like communism and facism. Facism is wayy to op where every country i see is going the facism route. And finally, communism is just mediocre. It's hard for me to explain how to balance each but I want the ideology update change where it is strategic on which ideology to choose during times like major resource land like russia and kazakhstan should go communism or like early game use facism then later games use democracy or communism. I use liberalism as you only lose 1 stability for starting wars ( Better than democracy because you can regain the stability once you are done with the war ) the extra taxes make up for the military upkeep and the justification time isnt too long not to mention that extra unrest reduction comes in handy when you dont get any more base stability.

Even 1 stability loss is highly detrimental, especially in early-game europe, because invading a small country can give you 75M treasury and you therefore need to justify a lot. Maintaining an advantage on your neighbours in the fuckfest that is Europe via wars is crucial (at least early game). Either you are a Russia, China, India or US player that basically never have contenders, or you haven't played a post-2030 game where you justify a hell lot in persuit of forming or global conquest.
