J Kidd was 2nd in MVP voting in 2002 with 14.7 PPG and it was a close one. 2. 2005 Lakers didn't even make the playoffs. 3. 45 wins (2006) are not enough. Lebron & Dirk had a greater MVP case if not Nash. Deserved or not, he had a MVP valid case for both of them.

Cast who stepped up is more correct than had more help. Valid MVP case. And like I said if not Nash, it was either Lebron or Dirk before Kobe.
