Scream 2 was a great fallow up and had a nice nod to F13 love the charecters Scream 4 i love it! i can;t think of much i didn;t like love the line ( Never fuck with the Orignal) Scream 3 just hurts me all the new Charecters suck and are just awful and annoying. just never cared for any of it

I have to disagree, the first one IS iconic, for what it was and what it did for the slasher genre, HOWEVER, the plot, pacing, quality, and diversity in the cast and their archetypes were much better in Scream 2.

4) It's a testament to how good that the Scream franchise is as a whole because even with all the crap that we had to put up with, I thought the characters were still really great. Wes Craven's horror tends to have the best cast of characters that make even sub-par films. I didn't realize Neve was only available for 2 weeks because she gave such an amazing performance as Sidney. 3) Scre4m was great for commentary on remake/modern gorier horror movies of the 2000s and personally, I think that makes it a better horror film (I personally prefer the Climax/Killer Reveal of 4 to 2). However, it was much more disconnected from Sidney's story, which I know was kind of wrapped up with Scream 3, but even then, part of what makes Scream unique is the fact that Sidney is the main character of this franchise, more so than any other Final Girl in horror history. It would have been really interesting to have more time with Sidney reconnecting with her hometown (personally, I thought they should have made Deputy Hicks the blonde cheerleader from the first movie's bathroom scene who thought Sidney was in on the murders). 2) I get why everybody hates Randy's death, but it takes guts to kill off your most popular character (guts that arguably none of the other movies had). 1) Nuff said.

My rank goes: 1. Scream 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 3 4. Scream 2 I've always been a little lukewarm towards 2 compared to the others. More than any of the films, everyone feels more like archetypes than characters. I put 3 above it because for all its problems, it's entertaingly dumb and more watchable for me than 2. I'd rather something be bad in an interesting way than competently made but bland. Finally, I have 4 at Number 2 mostly because of Emma Roberts. Other than Billy, she's my favorite killer. The scene where she is maiming herself = 🖒.

Completely agree with Scream 3. People give it way too much shit. It was a decent movie for what they were working with. Scream 4 had an incredible opening and I'm glad Wes Craven chose that over what was originally written.

The same lineup for me. But depending the day i can see 4 over 3. Scream 2 randy actually got me so off guard thats why i like it. Scream established a different type of slasher film and made new rules such as two killers and a horror movie about horror films. Classic.

I agree 100%. I prefer to watch Scream 3 over Scream 4 but Scream 4 does have a more consistent storyline. It’s just not as fun to watch. I also hate the soap opera filter they used in Scream 4. I also agree there are times I’m in the mood to watch Scream 2 over Scream. And lastly, I always agree that it’s stupid to have Ghostface in the bushes and grocery store.

1: Scream 1 2: Scream 2 3: Scream 3 4: Scream 4 I loved the opening of Scream 4 (Marnie & Jenny). That felt super Williamson. Then bad comedy comes into it and ruins it for me. You can tell Williamsons script was rewritten by Ehren Kruger and only some of Williamsons ideas were kept. Thats why is comes in at my least favourite of the bunch.

Guys,here is some interesting fact,that is laughable...XD In the hungarian version,they fucked up the whole who is the killer thing,because the hungarian voice of Timothy Olyphant was just distorted when Cici was on the phone with him,so if you listen carefully,you can hear its Mickey...XD But thank God when i first seen the film,i didn't notice. :)
