My 2 favorite panels are from Ozone Baby’s Pressure. First, the one with Jobin and Tsurugi. The other one is Josuke saying „Thank god, you’re alive“ to a pile of bloody fucked up Mamazuku Spaghetti. That was so hilarious to me.

I can see the point of killing off Poor Tom: the New Rokak is valuable and they don't want to give Gappy any leads whatsoever. Plus I think it's meant to illustrate that the Rocktors have different values than the Damokan Gang, and that if it means they secure the Rokak Branch then it doesn't matter who they have to kill.

It reminds me of the relationships found in la squadra and unita speciale from part 5. La squadra is more personally interconnected and every member treats the other like family, much like the damokan group. Unita speciale is made up of individuals with self-serving goals and don’t care much for their team members, like the hospital research team.

I feel like Kaato and Norisuke are meant to be a parallel to Kira and Josuke from the original universe, with them having a rivalry of Kaato’s/Jobin’s desire for a peaceful yet powerful life (Kira’s quiet life) and Norisuke’s/Josuke’s “yankee” mentality of wanting to be in the moment and create happiness for ALL rather than their personal power (Josuke’s saftey for the town)

No information, his death is left unexplained, without motives or cause. And it’s unconfirmed that Tooru was in the ambulance even if it makes sense.

For Poor Toms death, the bullet that kills him comes from out of nowhere, so I think it might be a very early showing of Wonder of U, he pursued Tooru, who he would know as his ally, and Tooru had it active probably as a defence and possibly to try off Poor Tom for blabbing so much

The baby getting infected was fucking horrifying and I loved it. Easy S tier for me, still don't understand how people can hate the arc. Though I wasn't reading monthly, so I guess that experience is just different 🤷‍♂️

I agree, that single chapter really messed up the rest of Jojolion moving forward. It basically broke the rules of Chekhov's gun. A bad chapter overall.

I just realized that Blue Hawaii's ability and design is probably based around the zombie apocalypse themed horror movie "28 Days Later" and its Rage Virus. For one thing, the way the mind control transmits itself is eeirely similar to the way the Infected in "28 Days Later" infect other humans: They both do it by coming into contact with the infected individual's body fluids, mainly blood. On top of that, Blue Hawaii itself seems to be designed off of a headless chicken, from the way its legs end with thin cross-shaped feet, to the fact it's arms are the size and shaped like that of a T-Rex's arms, and obviously to the fact that the stand itself has no head. Combine that observation with the fact that one of the most infamous scenes in "28 Days Later" is when a guard for a safehouse gets infected by the Rage Virus when a drop of blood from an infected body part carried around by a crow lands on his eye, and it's fairly obvious that it's probably not just a coincidence that Blue Hawaii works the way it does.

I always took Jobin almost killing Noriusuke as a show that while he works with the rock humans, he isn't truly one of them. It's shown by how with Poor Tom, the rock humans will throw eachother under the bus all the time, but Jobin can't bring himself to kill those close to him. He could have killed Noriusuke easily, by just scrambling his brain completely, but he chooses not to, to leave him alive and savable. Or, another way it could be thought of which I might like more, is that he tries to follow through with his ideals and kill his father, but his subconscious, represented by his stand acting, tries, but can't bring himself to. It's the same result, but with slightly different implications.

10:25 the reason for it is that Poor Tom was running towards the vehicle with Torru in it so it counts as a persuit, thus Poor Tom got affected by the calamity

In my opinion, I think jojolion is definetely a good manga and with good arcs but is really get shot in the foot because its come right after sbr and have monthly release which raised the expactation for the story.

If you think about it the Lego House would be subjected to pressure due to all the dirt pressed around it. I think that somehow implies the stands activation and connects to it being able to apply pressure to one large area. Still is pretty weird tho lol

I think Dolimite and Urban Guerrilla's arcs go way below than C, and Ozone Baby's arc is A probably S tier, the fight is insanely intense.

The salt is more present in this video X) I have two major disagrement with you: - Kaato : she don't apear a lot , but I think her developpement and implication in the story is so efficient. She is clearly one my fav JJL character :) her flashback with Jobin is a S tier for me ! But it seems you forget it :( .. Yasuho Flashback : C tier ? :( I think in term of storytelling, the scene of Yasuho with "her father" is one of the most disturbing scene of JJL. Also, this chapter develop so much Yasuho and extend her relation with Gappy . A Really complex and touching chapter :) The point where I totaly agree is the chapter 83. At my first Reading, he was one the best... Today he is a splinter in the feet. I don't think that flashback/Flashforward is pure bullshit, Like Shuckmeister say, but I think it is to vague to be satisfying :( clearly a mistake :/

Although none of the expectations we had for Caato came through (ie becoming a major antagonist), the chapters she's in are still very high quality since they tie all of Jojolions themes together. Memories and dreams, curses, and family are the center of every Caato chapter. Family is obvious. She's the mom, duh. She is the birth giver. Curse: Besides Jobin inheritance, Caato also receives a "curse" of her own when she sacrifices Jobin's bully and goes to prison. Despite her love of her family and even the prison stating their love of her, her crime curses her to be shunned from her family. Memories: Being in prison, she also loses years of memories she could have had with her family that wouldnt have made her a stranger. Although she states to want the family's assets to make up for her imprisonment, it's only ever her family she thinks about in her final chapter. Caato's story ends with her accepting her death, like past mothers in the family, in hopes of ending the family curse. In doing so, she also ends her own curse and has her family shouting "Mom!", a final confirmation that she is their mother and not a stranger. And even if Jobin's dreams will never come to fruition, her grandson's dreams have begun now that imminent death from the curse is gone. Caato's role wasn't as big as many hoped it would have been, but it's still a very tragic story about a mother hidden and shunned by most of her kids but still facing a calamity in the very end so they can have a peaceful future. Also, chapter 83 fucking sucks! Even as an Araki apologist, that flashforward literally made the story worst. At least Flashback Man could be explained as Josuke desperately trying to have a memory for himself...

Honestly I think Jobin were to be the main villain, but his Stand is so weak and not much combat oriented that Araki didn't knew how to have a compeling, JoJo style final fight against a OP villain. He already gave Kira a power up in part 4 for that exact reason. But I think he didn't knew how to give Jobin a power up.

You put Born This Way waaaaaaayy too low, it’s an A at least and it gate kept soo many arcs from even making it to B tier. Ozone Baby is such a fun and intense arc, and you’re somehow ok with giving it a C when it has some of the best Jobin and Tsurugi moments in the part. Yeah it has its goofs but they don’t ruin the enjoyment. Literally the only reasons it’s there is because of the “is it as good as Born This Way though?” reasoning, which is a little annoying ngl. Anyway I respectfully don’t respect your opinions good vid.

I definitely think that chapter 83 is a flashback, not a flash forward, and is heavily implied to be Tsurugi's thoughts on the situation of losing his grandfather. It's displayed through the visual storytelling of the chapter. Sure, it was a flash forward when the manga was still coming out, but when you finish the manga, it changes your perspective on the chapter. Media like Twin Peaks uses lots of abstract, borderline incomprehensible, and heavily interpretable visuals and storytelling concepts, yet nobody faults it for doing that. And we know that Twin Peaks specifically inspired part 4 of Jojo's. So why couldn't media like Twin Peaks have inspired this chapter? I love chapter 83 and I think that, if you look at it from the perspective of it being intentional, it becomes one of the best chapters of Jojolion.
