Hell Yeah I love U.D.O and Accept I’m 22 going on 23 later this year and I’ve loved Rock And Metal since I was a kid when my Dad got me into classic rock n roll and heavy metal Udo Dirkschneider is one of my favourite metal singers I saw U.D.O Live 2 years ago here in Edmonton on March 16th 2018 at The Starlite Room when they played Accept songs for the last time it was a great show and I’ll always forever love rock and metal until the day I die🤘

Udo's debut solo album, "Animal House" (1987) is for all intents and purposes an Accept album. All the songs were written by accept before he left the band and they let him have them for his first solo album.

Thanks so much, Pete and Martin! I had to come back to comment and say that, thanks almost entirely to this video (and listening to some song samples), I just placed a huge order for eleven Accept CDs! It's so cool to finally get into a great band that I just missed out on back in the day! Thanks for the great work that you two are doing to celebrate classic rock, hard rock, metal, prog, and more!

Popoff and Pardo are at it again and what a great discussion and overview of such an extensive catalogue. Fascinating that you two matched on so many slots but, in the end, each has their particular favorite for specific reasons. Really enjoy most of this discography. So Metal Heart is probably tops for me because, as Pete said, it is the most fun Accept album to me. The others in each of your top four are on my list but Metal Heart is the one listened to the most. Thanks, gents, for another great show. Looking forward to more of the two of you on SoT.

This video is a great way for me to finally, very belatedly, dive into this band's catalogue! Accept is one of those metal bands that, sadly, never really made it on the radar, even for most metal fans, in the tiny Southern town where I was born and raised. Not a single one of my friends was into them, and unfortunately, I followed my friends' lead at that time. Over the years, though, I have come to realize that in doing so, I really missed out on some great hard rock and heavy metal. I'll be placing a big order for several of their CDs soon!

After Metal Heart, I picked up on "Balls to the Wall" and "Restless & Wild" and they were awesome albums too! Thank you Pete and Martin and great show as always. The fact that several of us are listing albums such as Russian Roulette, Eat the Heat, Death Row, and the debut among their best speaks volumes about Accept's excellent catalog of music. I always felt that Accept should have gone platinum in the States with Metal Heart and that the reason they didn't was because they picked the wrong single. "Midnight Mover" is a cool tune but I believed that "Screaming for a Love Bite" was the stronger track and should have been the single and video. And that video for "Midnight Mover" wasn't going to win over the masses. 1. Metal Heart 2. Balls to the Wall 3. Blood of the Nations 4. Restless and Wild 5. Stalingrad 6. Breaker 7. I am german (by the way, older than you two) and first, the original cover from Restless is the cover with the burning guitars, second, their most successful and most selling album in europe was the Russian Roulette album and the tour was their most successful also. In the states they sell more with balls, yes but they never had the status like in europe and they opened only for bigger bands in North America. And last but not least, my opinion too the NWOBHM.....without Priest there would not be any NWOBHM, and my top NWONHM bands are Maiden, Saxon, Accept, Krokus and the early Def Leppard. So my Accept Top 15 (because I dont talk about illegal downloads) is: Tornillo and the last albums are great, but the best 30 Dirkschneider Songs are another Level! 1. Restless and Wild 2. Breaker 3. Russian Roulette 4. Balls to the Wall 5. Metal Heart 6. Blood of the Nations 7. Objection Overruled 8. Eat the Heat 9. Blind Rage 10. Stalingrad 11. The Rise of Chaos 12. Death Row 13. I saw them on that tour. Thought it was a huge step up from British Steel. Much better song writing IMO. Priest fans dont like it cuz it isnt as heavy.

Good ep. I've been a fan of Accept for 5-6 years but only have 4 albums. Listening to Chick and Chainsaw now on YT. God it rocks. Sounds like heavy metal to me. As heavy as Priest in 1979.

Technically Animal House is an Accept album. It is U.D.O.'s debut album, but it was intended to be an Accept album. All the songs were written by all the members of Accept, but they decided to fire Udo Dirkschneider and start from scratch . Udo Dirkschneider took the songs for the debut album of U.D.O. It is actually my favorite U.D.O. album besides albums like Mean Machine,Faceless World,Timebomb, and Steelhammer.

Accept were the first band I ever saw live, back in 1986 ( I think) They were great live, and great fun. I loved Balls to the Wall, Metal Heart, Restless & Wild & Russia Roulette, but gave up after that. I heard enough.

Have to say I think they actually peaked lyrically (or "Deaffy" did) with Balls To The Wall. It's cleaver, subversive, suggestive and witty ...how many macho metal bands were telling YOU to "write a letter and you'll feel better." ..."What's a letter?" fuck'n brilliant.

One of the funniest moments for me on SOT was Hudson Valley Squares worst album covers of all time. Pete holds up Balls to the Walls says nothing and shrugs his shoulders, the squares burst in to laughter. Pete says "I was embarrassed to bring it in to the house." I was crying I laughed so hard.

I admit I pretty much ignored the new albums that came out since 2010 with TT quick singer Mark. However with too mean to die growing on me, my eyes are opened, I am going on an accept kick now and taking a closer look at blood of nations, stalingrad, rise of chaos, blind rage. Wolf Hoffman: bold identifiable tone, classical touches, quite enjoyable. If he wants to take control of the band, whatever, fine! Good product (if you can call music a product)

This was harder to do than I expected (other than the top spot). I've had a chance to hear the as- yet unreleased one a bunch, so I included it. 16) Death Row (I've only heard this a couple of times for some reason, so not much of an opinion.) 15) Predator 14) Objection Overruled 13) Stalingrad: Brothers in Death 12) The Rise of Chaos 11) I'm a Rebel (This one has risen in my rankings quite a bit over the years.) 10) Accept 9) Blind Rage (Anyone remember the band "Silent Rage"? They were a bunch of pretty dudes.) 8) Eat the Heat (I knew David from some small Minneapolis bands before he joined. Cool guy.) 7) Too Mean to Die 6) Blood of the Nations 5) Russian Roulette (This was HUGE when I was in high school. Pretty slow, almost doomy record.) 4) Breaker 3) Metal Heart (This & Balls... could easily flip for me.) 2) Balls to the Wall (I have a love/hate relationship with the title song, but it's always great live!) 1) Restless and Wild (Hi-de, hi-do, hi-da!) Shout out to "Staying A Life" and UDO's first couple of solo records, too. Thanks for the list, Pete & Martin!!
