How do you discount the Lions for having more long runs than passes? They have those runs because of their elite O-Line and the fact that their WR are really elite blockers as well. It’s not because Goff can’t complete long passes, he ranks in the top five in that category. And why do you think opponents were always playing catch-up? Because the offense was scoring Touchdowns, not field goals, early and often. You know, like elite offenses do! You guys underated the offense because you undervalued their top five QB.

And the majority of Goff’s effectiveness come between the numbers inside 20 yards from the line (Goff is one of the best in the league at area). His numbers are below league average outside the numbers 20+ downfield. They still have explosives but gibbs and st brown are get the ball in their hands in space and let them cook. Williams is the downfield killer but his consistency hasn’t been there for a few reasons. Potential is there. Mahomes just won his second straight super bowl mvp and he spent the offseason talking about how he wants to be better in multiple areas next year but i guess Goff is above criticism.

Fortunately for the Lions, they have the best OL so it’s not as necessary for Goff to move that much. I’m happy for Lions fans that they have a team that’s gonna be good for a long time. It seems like Kingsley Suamataia is this year’s Rashee Rice in that the Chiefs are banking on his play improving as the season plays out. Suamataia already has the strength that many young OTs need to improve upon early on in their careers. Most of Suamataia’s deficiencies have to do with technique which can be correctible relatively quickly with good player development the Chiefs have shown to have. I think it will work out like it did with Rice last season and the Chiefs will be clicking on all cylinders offensively by Thanksgiving to go along with a top defense and will be a really scary team come playoff time. If they stay healthy like they have been able to the last couple seasons they have a great chance at 3-PEATING.

I think a lot of the “concern” (for lack of a better word) at this point is just that he hasn’t taken a lot of true pass sets (which is certainly not his fault, it’s just that BYU’s offense was so heavily rooted in RPOs). But a key difference between he and Rice’s situation is that obviously WRs substitute and O-linemen don’t. Therefore, on any given snap, the growing pains in Kingsley’s game are more likely to put the offense in a bad spot more so than a bad rep from a WR. They lost 2 starting offensive lineman (one HOFer). They lost their starting RB and replaced him with a washed Ezekiel Elliot. Lamb hasn't practiced yet. These are all factors that lead one to believe the offense won't be as good as it has these last 3 seasons. Cool to see some nuanced takes on Dolphins/Tua - so many just say he sucked at the end of the season, but there are a few key factors to consider... 1) 2022 Concussions... the league forced the Dolphins to bench Tua after his second concussion. He's too high profile - they didn't care about Pickett getting two concussions and playing - but Tua doing the hand thing on primetime was bad look and even though he was able to come back and play, they just shut him down for the year. So in 2023 - he was told NEVER to run unless in the redzone. It's clear when you watch the film - he was forced to avoid contact - an 'over-adjustment' but it was understandable. I expect him to be 'back-to-normal' and add to that his 3rd year in the system - he should be back in MVP considerations late in the year as he was in 2022. 2) The options after Tyreek/Waddle was very lacking... they were both banged up towards the end of the season and missed games. The offense with one of them out was VERY different and much more limited than it will be in 2024. Malik Washington was a key pickup as between him and Achane - the Dolphins will be able to stay more to their passing design if Hill or Waddle is out. Of course Odell is a much better 3rd option than Cedric Wilson, and Jonnu a much better option than Smythe. 3) O-Line depth - having Liam play center for the first time in his career was crazy and then that caused 3rd string guys to play more... when Hunt went down it got even worse. There is a bit more depth for 2024 and Liam of course has more experience now.

Ravens offensive line has a chance to be way better than last years. And that was a decently effective group. But Moses and Stanley were injured quite a bit and were ineffective at times. Even Zeitler, a tough stalwart for years, got hurt. And they still came out as the sixth ranked offense in the NFL with below average pass protection from the tackles. The backups gave the starters long breathers during games and helped keep the starters fresher. This year in minicamp, Stanley was a full participant without any injury breaks. He looked the best he's looked in years. Voorhees looks like the real deal and the Rosegarten kid is a smooth mover. He's quicker laterally than Moses. Lets see if he's strong enough to handle NFL D-ends. If he is, then this line will be better than last years.

Lamar Jackson is dynamic as a runner but just average as a passer. Josh Allen should have won NFL MVP in 2023. He had 44 total TDs last season with his two top wide receivers barely showing up in the second half of the year.

Good grief, did you watch the Lion's play last year? They're going to struggle more this year with a much tougher schedule, but they have every element to make a number 1 offense: talent, chemistry, coaching, management, owner, confidence, fight/grit, and the balls to pull an unexpected play when the chips are down. Love the Lion's right now and it feels good!

They clearly have not done any ground work or their homework on the Lions. They were number 5 ranked Offense last year with a banged up Offensive line, and a rookie starting Tight End also a rookie Duo rb Gibbs. Don't even get me started on Marvin Jones Jr. Dopping balls like Josh Reynolds at the end of the year. Play action in Detroit is about to be crazy this year. And with all that fear i'm sure Goff will have some opportunities to hit the long ball. Which he has been working on hard this off season. Jamo about to have a year!

Those short dumb off passes that Tua likes to throw will now go to Odell. And there is no other receiver in the league that i know of that can take those passes and stretch the field like OBJ does. If they sign Tua its a wrap yall!!! I aint gon lie to yall if they sign Tua this will be the most dangerous offense in the league!!! Its exciting times in south beach!!!

I would argue that Tua led the league in passing and running over all.. they just got Jonnu Smith and OBJ.. Drafted Malik Washington and Jaylen Wright. I think what you will find is that the best offense against bad teams by a mile, finally has the under route. Btw Tua barely ever checked down. They switched to failed bubble screens when the defense took the vertical, which is why his ypc went down. The Dolphins could not bring inside run leverage without Connor williams and Isaiah Wynn. They will target this exponentially more this season. I’d bet that the Dolphins not only have the best offense… it might be the best we have ever seen in the NFL tbh
