I've watched pretty much every raptors game since they've been a team. I would give Scottie the edge but I don't think they are that far. But I also rank OG over siakim n vanvleet n have for 3 years now. I think OG is the best perimeter defender in the NBA so has insane value that doesn't show up on a stat sheet.

@@SawyerSports Look at KAT's stats, he has put up numbers as good as Barnes and Cade or better when he was on bad teams, plus he now is a good defender but not a very good rim protector. Porzingis is maybe 80% of KAT on offense and on defense he is worse in space but elite at rim protection. If you need a rim protector, Kristaps could very well be better for your team. But if you need spacing, rebounding, passing, or volume scoring than KAT is better. It's close but KAT is more talented, like top 20 offensive players talented.

The only reason he would be considered overrated is because his injury history. Hes an elite defender to the point he can change the whole game just with his defense. Hes not the best shot creator but he’s not lacking in his ability to create his own looks. Hes a great shooter. If he was to stay healthy he’d probably be the top 5 two way players in the league. Yeah... I'd say, if he was playing more minutes on a better team with teammates who passed him the ball more, Wemby's box score and advanced stats would have been insane last year. If he played 36 mpg with better teammates, I don't think it's a stretch to say he could have gotten 27+ pts, 13+ rbs, 5+ asts, 1.5+ stls, and 4+ blks on something like 55+/35+/80+ shooting percentages. Not to mention, he should have won DPOY. That would have gotten him MVP votes, an all star selection, all-nba second or third team, all defensive first team, etc. He really is so so good already, he just had some growing pains, and a minutes restriction, being the only _really_ good player on a trash team (where Sochan played the point for a long stretch as an experiment).

Lists like this are so flawed. For example a guy like Markannen ahead of Towns. How? And before you rattle off last years stats look at the teams they are on. Utah sucks and Markannens role on the team is similar to KATs on the Wolves prior to Ant. It would be better to compare KATs stats from before Ant. Which are a lot better than Markannens last year. You have to take into account all factors. Guys who are now number 2s but would be way better than a lot of numbers ones shouldn’t be ranked lower because of that. SGA is at least a top 3 player, he’s one of the best offensive scorers in the league right along with Luka and unlike everyone else in your top 5 besides Giannis he is an amazing defender, got nods for dpoy. He’s by far the best two way player in the top five and I think people underestimate and undervalue how effective he is on both ends of the court.

Not a bad list. I'd put Wemby and Jalen Williams a bit higher and Kawhi a bit lower. I agree that Ant isn't top ten--yet. Jokic is definitely number one. Luka is number two, or was this past year; they had Kyrie, yes, but not a lot else, really, and they made it to the finals. I might put SGA at 3, I dunno. Giannis is still a monster, but an injured one too often, and the Bucks ain't what they were. A healthy Embiid is a top fiver, but he is often not healthy. I'd drop him a little.

Raptors fan here. I came down to the comments before watching the vid cuz I already knew Matt is a generational Scottie hater but u know it’s bad when he has Scottie ranked BELOW his 2k rating placement, which fans were already mad about (not just Raptors fan btw). According to 2k, Scottie at an 85 is the 44th best player in the game. SROS has him at 47 according to these comments. I’m not even asking for Scottie to be top 25 but please at least rank him above the other guys from his own draft class. Is he not the best player right NOW out of his entire class? HE was the all star last year. You can think whatever you want about him. Is he good enough to be a number one on a title contender? I don’t know! But that shouldn’t matter RIGHT NOW!
