@taj36186 ай бұрын
Honestly he’s not on their caliber. He’s been blessed with solid teams ever since he’s been in the league
@Mrdonjuliothewicked6 ай бұрын
@@taj3618agree with not on their caliber, he's just a level below, but let's not also act like there's also been years like when JT was a rookie, leading the Celtics to the conference finals with no Kyrie or Hayward. Plus are we really gonna blame someone for having a good team? Like that's supposed to diminish any personal accomplishments they have? Was he supposed to tell management give him a 2007 cavs level help so he can cook by himself and try to win?
@taj36186 ай бұрын
@@Mrdonjuliothewicked they still had a solid starting 5 even without Hayward and Kyrie
@Mrdonjuliothewicked6 ай бұрын
@@taj3618 rookie JT, sophomore JB before he started being a real scorer, Rozier, Horford and whoever else was in the starting 5 was a solid enough starting 5 that you'd consider they are solid enough to make the eastern conference finals any given year? That same squad couldn't even do that adding Kyrie and Hayward in there. So you're either just delusional, or you genuinely really wanna create a false narrative.
@taj36186 ай бұрын
@@Mrdonjuliothewicked Tatum averaged 23, Rozier had a breakout postseason and averaged 19, JB and Horford put up 15 a piece, and Smart gave them 13 and elite defense. That sounds like a solid starting 5

If Tatum is A tier, then no superstar could possibly be below A tier no matter their performance. Dude had an 85 offensive rating in Game 1, -37 from his closest teammate. Literally have standards. Is it too much to expect a superstar to play good on both sides? How can you play like garbage in Game 1 on offense and then mid in Game 2 and be at A? The Celtics are just incredible so Tatum's shit play doesn't burn them. If they lost those games, would you still give him S tier? I bet so. He was 1/7 at the rim. He had 17 assists, but 9 turnovers. His averages are worse than Draymond Green's playoff averages on double the volume. Does missing shots not factor into calculations of good/bad anymore or are assists somehow now 10x more valuable than points or shooting at even a mediocre standard?

from personal experience playing high level hockey, to me the mavs role players not being as confident as every celtics player when making decisions or shooting has a lot to do with coaches being able to instill confidence in them at this point. they are all deserving to be in the nba and all know they’re great at what they do, but there’s some disconnect
