Gunn comming from a Troma background will help alot with creature commandos. It was always a crazy idea and the books were great some of my favorits as a kid. As an older reader its great having somone older who knows comics and can pull from the forgoten pile and introduce new fans to silver/golden ager heros. Fun video.

Superhero Legacy as you didn’t mention it in this video, what're your thoughts on Andy Muschietti directing The Brave and the Bold? Personally, that choice of director has been a major dream of mine going as far back as when the first IT film released in 2017.

I feel confident in that choice. I know he’s done some great work and I think that him doing Batman would be awesome. I wasn’t that big of fan of the flash but I know the movie wasn’t entirely his fault

@Superhero_Legacy I feel in his whole filmography there's more than one kind of Batman movie in Muschietti. The light, campy adventure with some schlock or a brutally dark, eerie horror story with childlike yet twisted villains. I can instantly see how Andy could tackle Professor Pyg. Do I even need to add how he did Pennywise may as well have been Andy's audition on how he'd direct scenes featuring The Joker? LOL

@Superhero_Legacy and if his horror films are anything to go by, Andy knows how to do really F'd up child characters, be it kids who have suffered trauma or kids who are foul-mouthed and flawed and Damien Wayne seems to fit. A Robin that's like both a James Gunn and an Andy Muschietti character in one.

Nah...the Authority is consistently depicted as having the moral high ground and in no way are supposed to represent heroes that have lost their way. They are actually written to be heroes who have found their way out of the restricting no kill rule rule code of conduct of typical DC heroes, and are thus able to be super proactive and super effective. They are pretty much embraced by everyone in their book except for nefarious governments who look at the authority as a major challenge to their oppression of humanity. I think you might be confusing the Authority with the Elite which is an Authority analog group made by DC to criticize the Authority +published by image wildstorm at the time). Ironically The Authority is an analog of the Justice League. Midnighter is Batman, Apollo is Superman, etc. I'm not sure how a knock-off team can have a movie in the same universe as the team that they are copying. Weird.

James Gunn hasn’t given me any reason to not trust him yet. Also I know most of these characters already so I didn’t have to do research. I didn’t know who the authority was tho hence, why I did do research on them
