Very interesting story of the island AND about Johan working there for a season. And Yes, That’s a very special airport there, more “Selfies” have been taken on that Hill/Road were the planes come over 8:33. than you can count...!! Best of all was 9:49 Johans story of his first time there. 😎👍✅

Aha! At 4:30 the yacht (blue paddle board, blue fenders) over Johan's right shoulder I helped build. It is a 65' Pacific Mariner built in Laconner WA. We dock-shipped almost every one we built to the Florida area, where they spread throughout the Caribean.

How it has changed since I went there as a 15 year old in 75 .....I can't say for the better it looks like st tropez and the environmental impact from so many yachts must be very high but at least hopefully the locals are making a decent living. As a young guy I had never seen such beautiful girls !

WOW !!! top notch video again. I've never seen St. Barts like that. Your lucky that turtle didnt take your finger off. I know the snapping turtles from Louisiana would have taken it off at the knuckle. Be careful. Also, hitch hiking can be dangerous too. It makes you think what were governments thinking when they pass on beautiful places like this. I am from Canada and the islands of Turks and Caicos have asked to join Canada three times and all three times our government has turned them down. Sad as the people would welcome the islands for sure but idiot bureaucracy gets in the way of sound judgement.

C'mon we Dutch traded New Amsterdam now New York for Surinam,....and we don't have Surinam anymore now either. But we do still have Aruba, Curaçao, Bonair, Saba, St Eustace and St Maarten, so that's something atleast. So, loosing one Island isn't that bad Sweden,...we Dutch lost Indonesia, Bali, Timor, Sri-lanka, Papua New Guinea, South-Africa, etc, etc. We even had a bit of territory in Brazil, China and Japan one's. You'll get over it,....we did 😆.

Well.........you guys wanted comment so I'll give you some more of my worldly knowledge.(;>) Something I've found as I've went through life is it's not the job you miss, it's the people you worked with.(Although I enjoyed the different jobs I've had) Another thing and perhaps the most important one in a persons life is finding the right life-mate. If you get the right one, they're worth a billion dollars to you, but if you get the wrong one, they'll make you so miserable that you'll wish you were dead.(I found the right one the first time around)(:>) Now for some comments about Swedes. The Swedes I grew up & went to school with were some of the hardest working people I've ever met. Quality people that were extremely hard headed when it came to doing things a different way!(;>) Swedes are also extremely smart and creative. Take the super silent sub they came up with or the Saab Viggen(old) & the Gripen(new)plus they make some of the damnedest armaments that armies use around the world.(Bofors 57mm MK3 or my favorite off-highway ATV, the Bv 206 All Terrain Carrier!)(;>) Now a little music from one of my favorite Swedish bands!(;>) I'll give ya some Mickie Muster next time!!!!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6Tch2p4gs6Kp9E

A turtle has a reputation that really doesn't befit it. Those things are real predators. In our lakes and streams here. They may seem slow and unassuming on the surface but they are cunning and powerful hunters in the water. A couple snapping turtles can wipe out a small ponds fish population in just a lil bit and they have a hell of a bite. .... I have to add, The turtle I am talking about is at least 3 to 4 times larger than that turtle. They also cook very well in their shell. lol.
