Trouble is that it is fairly clear Sony gave GS a deal. Its also fairly clear that GS is also using the XBS as an excuse to cover up their lack of skill and technical knowhow. If the issue was simply the XBS....a system which runs more impressive games than BMW...then MS would simply offer technical help. Just as it has before. And the XBS would be running BMW, just as it can run every other game devs said it couldn't run before they sat down, did their jobs and optimised for the platform. Sony paid for exclusivity. Rather, if teports are correct, it gave in to what appears to be de facto extortion and paid GS to get a Day 1 release. MS did not.

It's a good job my PS5 runs Netflix and Warframe, because I'm that sick and tired of Sony's bs moneyshatting all over the place that I have an embargo on any Sony products, services or games or any games from moneyhat accepting Devs. I've had every playstation console, but the PS5 will be my last one.

@@GetAwesomeGaming All this time and no movement on the Xbox port, yet there's a PS5 pro port? Devs are clearly focussed solely on PS, at which point you have to ask why such preferential treatment. After selling 20 million copies they could have hired help months ago or got help from Xbox. The fact that they just haven't moved forward to release the Xbox version and the Pro port is out, then they don't value Xbox sales so don't expect good sales of future games on the Xbox platform.

It doesnt help that Forbes lets Tassi print whatever rumour he likes as a "senior contributer" even they know not to title him as a jounalist because he fails to do any investgative work to vett his own work. Folks using MS statements that they cant comment about other companies deals as proof that their is a deal is the most tinfoil hat disingenuous take. Any company if asked would refuse to comment on another companies deals ,it is not proof. At most I believe Sony did a deal with Black Science to provide tech assist to fast track the game to Playstation. Which is good practise rather than a exclusive deal. How short are these commentators memories? Just over a year ago almost the same story was trotted out about Baulders Gate 3. Xbox/Phil insisted it wasnt an issue with their hardware and essentially implied it was an issue with Larian. In the end they had to swallow their words and let BG3 release without feature parity on the S.

The developer has stated on multiple occasions that their issue is optimization (they even reference the S’s limited Memory). All we have to suggest otherwise are anonymous sources and an implication from Xbox (not an accusation). If someone doesn’t want to come out and put their name behind a claim that there is a deal then it shouldn’t be treated seriously imo 🤔🤷‍♂️

Has either Sony or Game Science released a statement denying any deal? That would end all the speculation. Likewise Xbox could publically tell Game Science to release the Series X version while they continue to work on the Series S. If they can't or won't then you know that something is up. But you have to admit that announcing a release on Xbox in May and then scrapping it in June is weird. How long did you know the Series S had problems? Why not mention it sooner... or why not mention it to Xbox? If Game Science happens to solve the problem exactly a year after the PS5 release I will LMAO!

So Sony made an exclusivity deal but did not market it
