Rant! The bones that I picked with Royal High Costumization | Roblox Royale high

im really happy to see more criticism of the game. barbie has had this track record of imposing these weird body ideals where no matter what, these sets have an hourglass figure and a thigh gap. even the shadow empress set has a thigh gap (correct me if im wrong) which makes no sense bc if you have thicker thighs like that you usually dont have a thigh gap. i stopped playing after like the valentines bhm lunar new yr catastrophe bc i feel like we lost the plot here. what happened to when we just had cute lil updates like in 2019? and it just upsets me that a game that once made me so happy has come to what it is now. also youre completely right abt the need for more masc content, even the crumbs of masc items we do get are kind of not that great bc its always attached to a fem set like its an after thought. hardly ever do we get a set of items made Specifally to be masc like we do for fem. but yea thats js my little rant 😅😅❤

i feel like the thigh gap thing is more of a modeling thing, if there was no thigh gap the legs would clip into eachother and look weird, but the other stuff is just.. tiring, because it feels like the sets are getting skinnier and skinner. i would love to see different body type toggles for everything tbh

@@ovgem i agree with you tbh i just wish there was a way for them to pull off more realistic leg types in the models. a good example was the darling valentina heels when they first released

i agree but it is possible to have thick thighs and a thigh gap, the gap between the thighs can also be because of a wide pelvic bone 😭

As a Chinese player who also knows a handful about Japanese culture, who loves the cherry blossom set, as much as I love it I'd definitely love it even more if all the items were updated to look more accurate to actual traditional kimono outfits. With the only exception being the hairpins because I love them sm at this point and I have actually seen some Japanese people irl incorporate Chinese hairpins in their outfits as the two cultures are very closely related. They could make a toggle though for the hair pins where it can be flower clip pins (idk how to call it) like the images you showed in the video to be more accurate to Japanese culture instead while still keeping the cute hairpins ♡

I am a Muslim, although I am not a hijab but I do agree, we need more modest clothing simply cuz it will give players more choices, not all players want a snatched glamorous set, honestly I’m fine with something simple, something timeless

Not to mention I tend to gravitate to royal high outfits that are more modest and closed off not cuz religion or wtv but bc they tend to be nicer, also I feel that modest outfits can be a great started point for male or just neutral sets as modest clothing doesn’t really show off figure

As someone who did research for Kimonos a lot to get it right when drawing characters in Kimono The neck part is different for boys and girls, the female's back part of the neck is lose while the male is tight, the more the neck is shown the sexier it is (common is geisha, maiko etc) The Sleeves are open on the back It shouldn't much show your curves even with curvier bodies and it CAN'T show skin (Elbows, legs, belly, etc with the only exception being the neck and of course your hands) The rest were mentioned in the video

i love seeing critcism and rant videos about this game. even though i play it very often, there are SOO many things wtong with it and riyale high stans tend to look past them or defedn the game and creator with their life 😭

Hopefully in the future once they have finished realising to school, they go through ALL of the old items and sets and reworked/update ALL of them. And take in feedback people have shared and do research

We need more people like you speaking your opinion, I wish the sets had different body sizes, I don't like the way how most don't have a closed gap, I know it's just a game but we normally have the same body types for sets. Yes the sets look adorable in their own way but I wish it were more diverse, along with more male sets that'd be great actually. Edit: Love how you do your best to educate people who are unfamiliar with cultural stuff, I'm African American, and I only know of the cultural braids of the black hairstyles, I wish there were more with different styles (like fun ones I see on Pinterest). I agree with the plus stuff, I wish there were a showing tummy (I have a tummy that shows) a smal tummy big tummy, etc. I don't want to stress the developers with all these ideas, but it would be great to see. I agree with the revealing outfits, I'm christian and my mom takes the outfits I wear strictly. Most of us religious people are picky with outfits when it comes to being modest. The wheel items I only need 2 of each prize chests to complete everything, but many are hard to use, etc.

personally i love the gc set, though i feel like theres a great opportunity to add more alternative clothing, may be bias as a scene/emo kid though . also as a mexican person, the dotd items just seemed so bland and like a quick throwaway event item.

For the thing you said about sets is true and theres so many set concepts on twitter or pinterest, i just dont get why cant they get inspired by those and credit the owner in the description or they could ask for permission from the owner to create it in the game. i mean there are soooo many beautiful set concepts that i would love in the game

I agree with everything. Especially with the diversity, they added options to be more diverse with the arms and torso, so why not go all in? I'm chubby irl, I don't mind slim bodies, but some parts look so skinny, I feel uncomfortable. Since a lot of toggles just change the items' sizes, I think they should make players able to scale them and move them around. It would make the dress up toggles more organized and would allow players to be taller, shorter, thicker, ect.

i think u mean hanfu! kimono is a japanese garment, while the dragon is a part of a chinese calander! their style of clothing is called hanfu, as well as dragons are sacred beings to the chinese people, so having their traditional fashion in the game would definitly be wonderful!

I feel like there should be more inclusive to the game (other games to) I also feel like there is only 1 kimono and it is sad and also more different inclusiveness tot he face more Asian face and more like bigger eyes 👀 also I feel like maybe ad curvy body’s and others cause the bodies and not curvy if you have the legs and the waist because there are skinny and also add some Aisan,Korean,and others those Traditions in the game like Chinese-new year 😊❤ you get my point ALSO ADD MORE NICE FREE STUFF…like why all the stuff so expensive!! my mother is a costume historian now costume referse to clothr in general the english word really istnt chosen well, but thats not the point, she specificly concentrates on european clother and kimonos she hist corses, shows and exobishions conentrating on kimonos and showing them in there traditianall beatuty. she is very knowlegeble in the topic and it has rubbed of on me especially bc i worked for her on a few occasions. now japanese woman do wear hairpins but usually they are very hiden and they rather wear only one but not to elavborate multi bun hairstyles though that also depend on status time periond ect. the "kimono" in game while being based on a kimono ist not called that officiolly as far as im aware wich does seperate it and is acually pretty close to an actual kimono, the sleves are the one of two things that bug me the boxy like slevese are even found on ukata wich is a summer kimono wich has lighter fabrics but also hanfu with there very light and flowy fabrics have this box like shape and then the bow it is not an obi bow obi do not form a bow unless spesificly folded in a really complecated way they normaly in there simpelist fold also have a nox like shape. the collar is not to big of a roblem as depending on status ect time and how scandoles you wanted to for exambple the collarof the kimono can sit higher or lower for example in the red light districts oiran and other prostetutes would wear there colars very low and proper and high ranking woman would wear there colar very high and possibly also close to the neck the collar also can stand up simmilarly to that depending again on the time period
