Dude, you need to back to 1:25 of the video to see the chunk break off Paulina's stick and land up on a cymbal to her right. Then later, she throws the broken stick down and gets a new one. Then later, you will see her hit that cymbal and the same chunk goes flying.

just another reactor that is not paying attention! I saw the stick the first time I watched this years ago. It was so obvious to see it fly off and land on the cymbal. Sooo many reactions are only paying a little attention and look like fools when they surmise on what happened.

@@morthnadic1 these kids are such grounded performers. Your comment reminds me if the Redwings Liceo opener when Dany's mic stand is all over the place. The roadie comes up and tries in vain to fix it and Luis finally comes over and handles things. All the time, Dany is playing and singing 2 verses of Crazy Train, not missing a note. At 15yo in front of all her classmates. For me, that's when I knew there was something really special going on here.

Regarding the drumstick, you can see it break at 2:28 in your reaction video and the top part lands on the cymbal on the right with the holes, she picks up a new stick 2:36 and when she hits that cymbal, you can see it fling the wood chip fly away at 2:56 When I saw that Ted talk, that is when I decided to see them live 1 day, unfortunately Covid happened and their Sept 2020 show in Toronto was cancelled, hopefully they come back to Canada soon and even closer this time than a 10 hour drive

I never noticed any of that before, and figured it took the eye of an obsessive to see it, but looking at the timestamps all of it happens as clear as day just like you said.

Thanks for checking this out. It’s worthwhile to watch the whole show. For me “unmendable” is the best of the three songs, Pau is a whirlwind of energy. They all address the crowd between songs, in their second language very articulately. Especially Ale, who I think had just turned 12. Her speech about “… trust, or love or whatever you want to call it…” tugs at the heartstrings.

when she reaches down, look at the cymbal with the holes in it.... her stick had broke a few seconds earlier and landed there and stayed there til she hits that cymbal and you will see it go flying right before the chorus.

I had to go to a therapy session after that. He repeatedly backed up just far enough to not see what happened. My nerves were frazzled to the brink. Fan boy problems.

They were so well received at the TEDx in 2016 they were asked back again in 2017. They did 3 songs at each but also spoke between songs about the music and the music industry. Reaction isn't necessary but you may want to listen to what they had to say between songs. Very articulate even though they have said they were quite nervous during the talking portions.

No go back to overhead shot before. It broke. The piece landed on the cymbal on her rear right. Next time she hit the cymbal, it launched. A few seconds before you could see the tip of the stick break off and fly over te drumkit to land on one of the cymbals to Pau's right. When she later hits that cymbal the tip is launched behind the kit. This was actually their 2nd TED talk but hardly anyone reacts to the first one. I don't understand why because I like it just as much as this one.

They difference between the 2016 & 2017 TedX Talks is night & Day. You should do a Rant & Chill on both TedX Talks videos. This Survive video (on another reactors channel) was my introduction to The Warning.
