It's Friday, and that means it's time to once again talk about a weekly board game! This time we are checking out Nice Buns.
Nice Buns is a small party game and we actually picked up at Five Below. It is a small-size box specifically with not a lot inside it, then again the game doesn't require a lot.
This is a group die rolling game that uses the grouping of food buns. The game starts off with the deck, specifically called the kitchen, and an open splay of six cards called the serving tray. A player start off with two cards, or colored buns. The general idea is that you're supposed to be gaining cards from the table to build groups of three, which you can then lock and protect and and the game is won when one player collects three different groups of three.
There is a trick though, as you're trying to gain buns, you roll three dice with three different effects. You get to choose the two dice pools out of the three dice, but the player that goes next gets to choose which pool they take and which pool you take.
Players use strategy in trying to collect the buns that they need from the kitchen, from the serving tray, or from other people actually on the table.
Best at all though as there is a unwanted bun called the fish head bun, that is undesirable. That one will automatically cling to your largest group, and to actually help have you lose out on large collections.
This game is actually available at Five Below, but if you want to pick up another version of the game, you can do so here:
