I'm Tyrone from Chicago and Ron used beat the hell out of this song damn near every weekend in 1986 and 1987, I was blessed to get him at our senior dance 1988! This is top Five Classic Ron Hardy the true King of House Music! Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles were first but Ron took it to another level!

One thing... I wouldn't say they were first, I would say you just didn't know of Ron at the time?!?! He obviously was spinning, you don't get that great overnight! He probably wasn't beating at a club, to be KNOWN FOR IT YET, but he been doing his thing, you just HEARD OF THEM FIRST say that!... Im sure Ron was beating the walls for years👀🗿

HOUSE AND DISCO FOREVER!!!! I am 28 years old......This is the shit....I am from SoCal. I have no relatives from Chicago, DC, Philly..lol...My mom however was a disco head and my Dad was a DJ for years at a few of the Black roller rinks. Played house and Disco all the time. Even though I never heard him play this one, I am so thankful when I find grooves on youtube that I don't know. Also makes me happy to see the comments from folks who "go back" on this. I love to dance...Actually dance on the dance floor.

@@mikael7744 Yes. I used to go there a lot. The Mike Stone parties with DJ Kenny Carpenter. They used to get down in there. I remember Fonda Rae performed there one weekend that's when "Heobah" was out and she had a bowl of fruit or a fruit hat or something and hit me in the head with an orange. That's where I first heard "I Want To Thank You" - Alicia Myers waaaaay before it was popular. Kenny Carpenter used to rock all the underground jams there. This was around 1981 - 83.

I have a white label promo copy of this Pam Todd & Love Exchange album with the 5 minute plus version. This 8 minute version here was a bootleg re-edit that was floating around in the 80's and actually being sold. I have doubles of it. The bootleg has this 8 minute re-edit and a bonus beats of the piano/hi-hat intro looped for about 3 minutes. Find it if you can.
