Ron cut his teeth at Den One in Old Town in the late 70’s. I was there the unforgettable night when speakers caught on fire. He literally almost burned the house down !! I’d heard all the great masters. Ron was Picasso.

You know, at 1st I refused to listen to any of Ron's old edits. I don't know why. but it made me feel extremely sad. I could listen to Frankie old stuff but not Ron's. Ron actually lived around the corner from me when I was in my early 20's when I lived with my mother. He'd be riding the bus with the rest of us because he didn't have a car. We'd see him at Tops grocery store on 83rd and Crandon (he lived on 84th & Crandon and I lived on 83rd & Oglesby one block down and the next block over. We'd say "Hey Ron," and he'd say, "Hey baby. " Us girl loved him because he was a cutie (even though we all knew he was gay). But everybody in the neighborhood knew him as a celebrity but nobody bothered him cause he was like a big brother. If he were here today he'd probably be in danger. But everybody loved him and we tried not to be pests.

When they said Disco was dead, it went underground. A new type if DJ's emerged. Ron, then Frankie K, in Chicago, then Larry in N.Y. . Disco evolved into something that included all on the dance floor. "HOUSE" in this house there was room for all that came in. There were many more DJs, too many to name. But these DJ's touched are minds, body and souls.. Thank you...

Introduced to the Boxx and Ron Hardy on lower Wacker Dr back in late ‘84. I couldn’t get enough! A young lady that I briefly dated told me that her uncle had this album that I couldn’t find anywhere. She gave it to me!🤩🤩🤩 Unfortunately, I was quite miffed when it didn’t sound like what I heard at the Music Boxx. Welcome to the world of edits!!! Whew! This song among many others gave me life! Marcus Austin and that's where he made his transition at. He went home. Only the Real Muzik Box heads and his personal friends know this. I have stories on some of these Ron pages. Even though I started at the PowerPlant I was turned out by the Box. When I finally got over being scared to go to the box and tried it EVERYTHING changed. I never ever went to another club while Ron was around. I followed him to every spot Robert opened for him. Anyway, I can go on and on. Ron, it's 2019 and in the 21st century and I still have you in my heart. RIP forever Ron, you are greatly missed to this day. You are an ICON in my book and you're very underrated.
@kev12113 жыл бұрын
@TOUFLS1 You're close. Actually Ronnie started playing for Robert Williams (Music Box) after The Warehouse closed (also owned by Robert) and Robert and Frankie parted ways. Frankie opened the Powerplant which was big on Friday nights and The Music Box was big on Saturday nights. People tried to create a rivalry between them but Ronnie and Frankie were good friends and very supportive of one another. People need to stop trashing one to big up the other. It disrespects them both.

Sure the details will be on Discogs. Respect from London UK to all the original Chicago House heads.

im going to look for this record. i loved this song. i love hearing dj rahaan edits of songs. hes truly near editing like ron(imo) and djs emmanuel, boogienite as well. oh shoot i almost forgot about dj rush as well. ron left a legacy that cant be imitated.
