I am from Singapore and strongly agree that this is not just about India, the global education system is not optimized. When I was in college, I used to politely ask lecturers on the application of what we are learning such as advance calculus and other math chapters. Instead, I used to get told off and advised to study for the upcoming exams. The idea of rote learning without even being aware of its real life application is plain stupid. In retrospect, I spent 2 decades wasting my youth learning useless concepts that have no application in real life. Our education systems needs a serious change.

I only do 2 things which helps me 1) whenever they use slang and I have trouble understanding instead thinking in my mind and being embarrassed or self doubting I just ask them what that means… so my English get better everyday and I learn new things 2) I tell them English is my 3rd language. Also you highlighted that jobs which require high degree of human intervention like of CEO, HR will not be threatened by AI. I can seriously relate to this I have masters degree but I got the job purely based on my skill set... and that's the advice I give to all the kids who are stepping in to their adulthood, go to college for good networking and aquire skills out side of college because all that outdated education will not help you in today's job market. Get into internships when you are studying in college, that not only teach you resume worthy skill sets but also builds a solid character. There was no one to tell me this or guide me towards the right path on right time and that's why I started a bit let. But hear me out before your bachelor's degree please at least do 2 internships of minium 3 months each.
