There are 9 in the band. Quite a few of them lived on the streets. Corey the singer also has another band called stone sour. Sadly they lost a band member (Paul Gray) passed away. There's a lot more to this band than you think. Nice to see young people like yourself at least listen to it. This band have a story behind them. X

i was gonna suggest corey taylor (vocalist of slipknot) other band stone sour, which he was in before slipknot, and brought the band back after slipknot blew up, but you have to check out 2009 download spit it out if you wanna see the slipknot crowd

Slipknot is crunchier and angrier than Slayer. Slayer is more scary and evil. The lead singer of Slipknot did some side projects where he sings in a normal voice live in front of a small audience on a small stage. It's lit too. It's called Corey Taylor - Snuff (Acoustic). Great video to watch.

My son loved this band and went to many if their concerts. He was always in the pit and said the people are actually very nice. If you get knocked down there is always someone to pick you up. My boys says watch "spit it out". Your family love the drums and slipknot has one of the best drummers, (rip) I think you would enjoy.

I was listening to Slayer on my way to school, the morning I wrecked him! Slayer gave me the courage to walk up to him and start the fight.

if you're really curious, Corey Taylor (Slipknot's singer) did an interview you can find on youtube where he talks about his childhood. Abusive household, drugs, depression, hungry, etc. Regardless of the genre of music, every song tells a story, and it could mean something a little different to everyone

I went to the world premiere of this song in Seattle back in 2008. You absolutely have to watch that concert even if you don’t do a reaction it’s primal Slipknot and Corey Taylor (vocalist) AT HIS BRUTAL BEST!!!! Also during this show Sid the DJ broke both of his heels jumping off a platform and Slipknot played the title track “All Hope Is Gone” once because it was too technical to play live so I heard the one and only performance of it live. And for my fellow maggots out there, check out the show too “Slipknot Mayhem Fest Seattle 2008 HD”
