Ain't nothing wrong with pre-prepping as long as done right. I mean literally for a full song breakdown we would need prosperity in multiple fields like Psych degrees, be besties with the creator of the music as well as being literal world scholars in every aspect of life. But breaking down just what we've heard into logical thought patterns not actually stating this is what is meant is incredibly helpful and eye opening to understanding the basis of our favorite songs. But like I mentioned, they'res others LBoydish that are like Ahhh this must be what they mean or this plus this has got to be..... Ahhh this is referring to Nino, Pinto and Santa Maria which must mean that jacking pilgrims were into lowtiders with chrome galleys and swabz, that's where the Fast and Furious franchise got its humble beginnings! Tada 🤓🤓🤓🤦♂️🤷♂️🤦♂️

"The rain will kill us all" has a double meaning, not just the potential of pollution making the rain toxic but also the "reign" of the people in power that lead to the continued corruption. @@СосновыеИголки True. Nobody can catch every lyric or bar on almost every song every time the first time through as often as Knox. There is no way he isn't looking at lyrics either ahead of listening to the song and/or has them pulled up on-screen. He sometimes gives it away in his video titles. "First time watching" = He has heard it before but not watched the video. "First time reacting to" = He has read the lyrics. Stuff like that. Misinterpreting lyrics is part of music. This is the first Slipknot song (and one of the first metal songs in general) I ever heard, so it’s my favorite song of theirs The All Hope Is Gone is in reference to the name of the album that this song is from “And the rain will kill us all” can also be interpreted as “the reign” aka the leadership perverting all these sacrosanct principles will be what kills us all Psychosocial does mean the psychological and social effects of something on a person but I personally interpret it’s meaning, at least in this song, as psychopathy on a social scale. Like throughout the song Corey is making references to how we as a society lack empathy for each other, can’t properly communicate with each other and even exploit, abuse and kill each other. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 iconic song. Some other Slipknot songs I’d personally recommend are Sulfur, Unsainted and All Out Life.

This dude is a brilliant lyrical analyst. Never listened to rock or metal until recently but he understands their deeper content so well

I absolutely love that you just broke this song down bro! I look forward to Mondays for two reasons. It’s Metal Monday and my day off. 🤙🏻

I love reaction and analysis videos. This is the only one I’ve found where someone actually analyzed the lyrics, and it’s exactly what I was looking for. This was amazing. Thank you

This was definitely one of those songs ( lot of em involved with Slipknot lol ) where I just let the music take over and don't bother looking up the lyrics or hearing close enough. Had no idea how deep this song was going till I watched this , just shows how underrated the Lyricist side of Slipknot is and their members . So much of their deeper messages sometimes go unheard . This was an awesome reaction/breakdown as always. I'm definitely subbed for Metal Mondays for sure 🤟🤟

Please do more metal breakdowns bro. You are ridiculously spot on. There’s so many amazing social commentaries in metal music.

First time I’ve watched one of your videos, I watch slipknot reactions all the time, it’s fun to watch people’s faces and the few that enjoy it. But I have never seen anyone break down Corey’s lyrics like you, what a pleasant surprise. Keep up the good work 🤌

I love that you explain the lyrics. No one else does that. You're awesome

Nice reaction dude, also the high pitch thing that you mention is played by the needle head dude, he's the synth guy that is responsible for atmospheric sounds in slipknot songs

This may be the best breakdown of Slipknot’s lyrics I’ve ever seen. Respect Knox. 🤘👏👏👏

Starscream (spikey mask) is actually their DJ, which is what that high pitched noise was that you were questioning. There aren't many metal bands with a DJ that I know of, but I like every one I've found.

I don't know if anyone has explained the Easter isle heads so I will, but firstly You've earned my views thumbs up and sub! You take lyrics seriously and have been pretty spot on, on the Reactions/breakdowns that I've seen. Slipknot grew this culture of changing their mask (usually every album cycle). The beginning was them shedding their old mask as this was one of the opening singles for All Hope is Gone. They later mimicked the proverbial killing of their old selves in Devil in I and Unsainted. Kudos to picking up on Corey's use of a dictionary/thesaurus and hiding much deeper meanings in (sometimes) unknowing listeners ears!

I really like how demonic Corey Taylor, Clown, Paul Gray, and Chris Fehn sound near the end of Psychosocial. It's honestly amazing how it sounds, and it's one of the many reasons as to why I love listening to Slipknot. Corey's vocals and their percussion and guitars make it all so much fun to listen to.

There was such an American moment in this, you explain all the metaphors and phrases, but accept what a purple heart is as understood, such acceptance of the military complex as fully understood by all
