So they had the same company from pre-debut until now. KQ was a very small company so their early vids mostly used locations as free sets. They are their first group and now have another boy group called Xikers. They basically did what they could with their limited resources. Other groups that are in bigger labels have more extravagant mvs because they can afford it. They had humble beginnings and were underdogs for a while. As time goes by you'll see that Ateez worked extremely hard and helped their company afford better mvs. They're a mid-size company now and have some of the coolest mvs. They had a huge year this year and have gained a lot of attention. Since you love Inception I'll recommend Take Me Home, Answer, and Halazia. They also have a very cool new title track called Ice on my Teeth and it's a must see. I also highly recommend watching live performances because they're known as some of the best performers. Pls watch their dance practices too since the mvs barely show their choreography. ❤😮

welcome back!! ❤ i hope your life is settling down and you c an catch your breath fully! - WAVE is one of my favorite songs of theirs! “hakuna matata ya” is like a magic incantation that makes you just swell up with joy and start dancing. (to quote a disney song, “it means no worries!” - INCEPTION omg. that’s an intense as hell song. kinda gives me the same vibe as Turbulence. i always think of the beds setting as just… while they’re dreaming. the softer parts and especially the dreamy, wistful “i’m in looooooove,”is the dreaming. the school set is their waking lives that match the ramp up of the song with clothes getting crazier, fire appearing, water splashing everywhere. until hongjoong runs at the wall near the end and bursts through what turns out to be a bedsheet, and they. all shown opening their eyes. and it’s immediately after the wake-up that seonghwa and jongho howl out that amazing long line of pure vocalization that’s just heartbreaking. the trippy part is that the bedsheet was in the “awake” setting, so was that a dream too? and when they realized it, they woke up… ooh, kinda like the matrix. so that ending scene in the blank space… that’s a new dimension to them? lol i might totally off! i gave up trying to make sense of their lore a long time ago. - WONDERLAND! soaring drama! pirates! triumphant band anthem! you should really check out the live Kingdom performance they did of this song… it’s like a theater piece: Wonderland the Musical, complete with props and acting and special fx… so cool! edit to add the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6anmqeEmquCY6ssi=uKpZIMIzyisWXTCZ

Ateez has a very deep lore and story attached throughout their songs and lyrics, MVs, preformances and the like from the start and til the present day and most likely planned for beyond. If you go through their discography (MVs and Dairy films mostly) in order you will notice intricate connections. Even i who have listened to and seen them for a few years isn´t fully caught up in the story, or understood it fully since its so rich and deep. 17:35 hi ❤ in order for you to understand the mv concept you gotta know about Ateez' lore. There's a overarching story that connects every single mv together. In this mv we are told the back story for the 8 characters that the members represent. If you follow along with the official book it all makes sense (when you buy an album you can choose the Diary version, some atiny are really invested in Ateez' Book Universe while others don't care about it) So yes this MV can simply be about being in love and seeing that other person feels like a dream within a dream or you can dig deeper and then this MV becomes the story of how 8 friends drifted away from eachother and the heartbreak that followed. So Ateez are the first Idol group that KQ created that meant the company didn't know at first how to manage them properly. That's why you see so many changes if you compare 2019's ateez and 2024's Ateez. As time went by they hired better help, organised things, priorities changed and a whole lot of other things that seem small but had a great impact on the guys.

Hongjoong is the Captain (leader), producer, lyricist, and main rapper. Seonghwa is the one that sings "I'm in love" that you like. Dancer, vocals, visuals. Yunho is the main dancer and does vocals. Yeosang is a dancer, vocals (deep), performance. San is main vocals and a dancer. Mingi is a rapper and lyricist. Wooyoung is dance, vocals, and performance. Jongho is the youngest and main vocals. He's the crazy long high notes guy.

Nice to see you back. The Inception video is similar to the film Inception. They are in bed sleeping but all in the same dream. Its very lore driven and from my understanding its before they were pirates, they were friends and had a falling out and separating. This dream is then remembering how close they were ans wanting to be friends again (i could be wrong as im still learning myself so if someone knows more about the lore please correct me)

Yes! Very lore driven and I believe each members "dreams" derived from their childhood dreams/passions and struggles. It was before the creation of "ateez" (in the lore sense) and how each member struggled individually before coming together.

Wave is so special to atiny and Ateez - it was their first music show win. Inception is like the film (they have a a lot of bsides actually that are based on films), but the storyline of the mv is entirely based on their lore - the shots of the members and their locations outside of the classrooms are from the fever diary films, you kind of do need extra background to fully understand it. Wonderland is their anthem, their pirate anthem! All three fit their overall storyline.

Ateez has only been with KQ and have been with them since the company still had like 10 employees.😊 KQ is still pretty small. I think there are more like 100 employees now. Before they were Ateez, as trainees they were KQFellas. 17:41 I believe Inception is largely a dream? I'm not certain though.

@@gretchenkirkland49 respectfully, it was used as more of a subconscious filler phrase, similar to “like” or “you know?” or “uhm”. I didn’t do it intentionally and I really wouldn’t read into it and make yourself upset over nothing :) I know you don’t know me irl, but I tend to say “or whatever you call it” and similar phrases when I forget how to pronounce it. Its a way of me recognizing that I know I’m saying it wrong but don’t know/remember how to say it right
