Love your videos man. When you were talking about listening to Em in the back of your dads car super low because he didn't want you listening to him, that got me laughing. When I was a kid my brother and I loved Eminem but our parents took away the Slim Shady LP and said we couldn't listen to it until they approved of it. Later that night we heard them in the living room listening to the CD and we could hear my mom cackling every now and then. They gave it back to us the nest day, and my Mom has been an Eminem fan ever since, even my Dad acknowledged that Em was a genius wordsmith.

Great job bro... if you don't mind, I'd like to make some suggestions for possible future breakdowns... top 3 most underrated Eminen songs for me: Legacy, Headlights and Castle, honorable mention for 'Beautiful'.. Legacy because it's such and inspiring song and he rhymes almost the whole song to the same sound. If you're gonna do 'Headlights' you would have to do 'Cleaning out my closet' first because they go hand-and-hand. And 'Castle' should be followed by 'Arose'. Keep up the good work.

I think the “break a table over the back of a couple of” was an ICP reference. He dissed them back in the day but it was easy to miss. The lyric back then was something about a couple of gay clowns spraying Faygo root beer, and busting a table over their backs for trying to claim Detroit when they aren’t from there. ICP called him Slim Anis.

Dude amazing break down. I’d like to add that general Zod is not the god of krypton, he was just a military leader sent to earth to retrieve Superman (in certain incarnations). The god of the DC universe is the presence. But also Kryptonians are often compared to gods, it’s pretty evident on runs like the injustice series. Or even compared to the pinnacle of human’s in the words of lex Luther. The line itself most likely comes from Superman 2 (1980) where Zod tells the president of the United States to “kneel before general Zod.” Because he thinks he’s the ruler of earth, basically trying to make the whole world kneel before him.

Put on “Remember Me.” A little under three minutes into the track, Slim spits some bars about getting the critics off his back: I’m try'na clean up my fuckin' image so I promised the fuckin' critics I wouldn’t say “fuckin'” for six minutes Just typical Slim Shady critic baiting right? Like Eminem could ever go six minutes without dropping an F-bomb. Well, while it’s true that he can’t go without the word “fuck” (he says it in this same verse mere seconds later), incredibly, if you take this promise as avoiding the construction “fucking”, Slim Shady actually makes good on his promise! These lines come in with about 50 seconds left of “Remember Me”.
