He is fluent in English and taught himself by watching the Friends sitcom. Apparently, it is very difficult to be able to switch between English and Korean as he often does. I would advise you to put RM's and Agust D solo work in the BTS playlist, so ARMY will see it. Very surprised no-one else has commented as it's very popular with ARMY.

Joke is essentially a rap battle response to an unexpected public diss at an award show towards his leaving underground rap and assuming the name Rap Monster as an Idol Rapper. Basically he was ridiculed and responded how rappers do, by verbally hitting back in bars. Note the last line is hit me, in other words do you think you can outdo my response. The other rapper never did in fact had his manager apologize for him a couple years later.

RM used to go by Rap Monster, now I think he said it means Real Me, his studio is still named Rap Monstudio, where he is a producer (all BTS has a hand in producing). His name is Kim Namjoon (Kim being his surname/last name, those come first then given name) so if you see people saying Namjoonie or Namjoon, that's RM. Agust D is known as Suga in BTS but his name is Min Yoongi (I'm sure they already told you that before though lol). I like that you created separate playlists so we can find things easily. I like the lyric video for Do You by RM. (edit: there is a line about guys that wear jeggings or skirts aren't rap but people misinterpret this. Hi is saying that it doesn't matter if you wear that like A$AP and someone else he said right after cause one of them wears a skirt or kilt? maybe it one of their mv. RM got a lot of hate for leaving underground rap scene and other rappers said he wasn't rap b/c he had to wear makeup. Mainstream also rejected him b/c they said he didn't fit Korean beauty standards (they fucking blind).) They (BTS) kinda have a song for every taste, so you will get a lot of different sounds from all our suggestions. Above all they advocate for self-love from a mental health pov and that's why ARMY loves them so. A host on Entertainment Tonight asked him what the name change meant to him at that moment and he said "I don't know...real me or something" but this was after he told the host that RM didn't stand for anything, he said "I just abbreviated" but still some fans have made the decision to run with that which is completely unfair to RM. After that interview the boys did a VLive broadcast where they discussed the name change again and RM again said he didn't have a meaning for it. Yes, he's that CRAZY🔥 BTS rapline which is RM, J-hope & Suga a.k.a Agust D is hella crazy, they got bars sick flows and everything. They produce & write their own music with some helps from label producers too ofc. People often underestimate them & hating on them with no reasons. Monster, God Rap, Do You, Throw it, Persona are all great songs by RM. He also did Change with Wale and years ago a song with Warren G (not a fan of it). You should check out Hip Hop Lover by BTS. The three rappers of the group do the verses while the vocalists in BTS sing the chorus. BTS was originally supposed to be a Hip Hop group, not pop, Suga and RM were both active in the underground rap scene in South Korea. Suga is very slightly faster than RM but it's only like a tenth of a second. All three of the rappers are highly skilled although they also have different styles.

BTS rapline is no joke. RM =Kim Namjoon (used to be known as Rap Monster) Leader of BTS. His ability to rap and flow over many complex beats, and in 2 languages is unmatchable. And oh, he writes and produces his own music and is the main writer and producer among the members of BTS for BTS songs. RM has 128 song writing credits to his name and is sought after by other artists. BTW...the bibidt, bobidty part was him making fun of beat rappers who rap two syllabus to rhyme whether it makes sense or not. There is a lyric video for this song and its always worth it to look for lyrics. RM is a lyric master. Peace

RMs reply to every one of his haters.... he was heavily criticised by his peers for his move to BTS from the the underground rapping scene in S Korea... they saw it as him selling out. He was also looked down on by many in the rap industry in general as they didnt view him as a "real rapper" lol. He wasnt seen as a credible artist because he was part of BTS. This track was him showing everyone... this is how skilled i am...not just in one language I'll give you 2.. now shut up and move on lol. With a genius IQ of 148 he aint no Joke 😆 Unfortunately the genius and depth of his writing translates pretty badly from Korean... it does nothing to explain the double/tripple entendres in his word play or general expressions or slang words in Korean so mostly what he is actually saying isnt what we are seeing.. we see a jumbled up version and often it makes no sense lol there are videos on KZbin of Koreans breaking up the lyrics and explaining the correct meanings for anyone interested in taking a deeper look into how clever his writing in... infact the bit you were laughing at in the midde when he is spitting out the bibbidy bobbidy niminy nominy stuff repeated is actually hiim mimicking and dissing rappers with zero lyrical content... skills limited to rhyming in 3 syllable words and even they are meaningless crap... but you call yourself a rapper and look down him 😂 anyway ive said enough on my RM appreciation 💜
