Hey man, new viewer (saw you over on Black P's channel), loved the reaction you had to this one and "Watch The World Burn". Looking through a few of the comments, it doesn't seem like anyone told you his name...it's Ronnie Radke, he used to be the lead vocalist for Escape the Fate before some stuff went down, then he started Falling in Reverse. An older one they did that is a bit different than the ones you've done so far is "The Drug In Me Is You", even if not for a reaction, give it a listen, it'll open your eyes to a completely different side of them 🤘

Ronnie has commented before on his voice in the song saying he wasn’t trying to sound any type of way but he was in such a painful dark place when writing and recording Popular Monster that it just bled into his singing. He was genuinely in such a dark place at the time and that thought makes this song hurt even more.

I think the symbolism of his daughter (and this is ACTUALLY his daughter) calming him in the end, sort of sign that she calms his "monster" is very beautiful. :) The visual effect of that without any lyrics to reinforce it is just amazing.

That part made me break down in tears, I took it personal. When my children were born, it was like the darkness was put into submission. I had something beautiful and innocent that took the negative part of me away. Anytime I start to feel like I'm heading down that road, I look at them and I'm brought back into the light. I love the way Ronnie uses symbolism and visuals to make his words more powerful.

Completely agree. I just discovered Falling in Reverse early last year, and made sure to buy tickets for Rockzilla to see them live - that's how much I love their music! Zombified is the song that turned me on to them, then Voices in my Head....and then all the rest including the older stuff. Ronnie is so goddamn talented and he was held back by the other members in Escape the Fate. (Raised by Wolves references that).

Nahh, there are well other bands for sure peaking high right now after years of grinding - just like FiR. However Ronnie has set the tone and set the bar high for genre blending. I mean, Spencer Charnas is maybe not THAT talented like Ronnie rapping - but Ice Nine Kills and FiR have by far the best overall media performance and they do have the same video director with Jensen Noen ;-)

Saw you on BP's channel too. Glad you're digging into FIR. You'll get a ton of suggestions so let me throw my 2 cents in lol: 1. Voices In My Head- super dope visuals, crazy action, and a song you can nod to while it genre bends all along 2. I'm Not a Vampire Revamped- a remake of a decade old song by the same name but Ronnie really shows his range and diversity, some would call a masterpiece 3. The Trilogy- 3 songs and videos that tell a story when watched in order, the visuals are extremely wild and the tunes don't disappoint Great stuff. The 3 songs are Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, and Drugs.

Came up in the 80s, so ive been through rock, glam, hair metal, thrash metal to the 90s alternative, grunge, and onto the nu metal early 2000s. Been to a lot of festivals and concerts, heard a lot of music. This song Popular Monster may very well be the best song ive ever heard. Amazing lyrics, music is top notch, and the video is amazing.
