It's a Shallow Shad Rap (looks like a size 7 in Bluegill color) and it's one of my VERY favorite lures for these shallow FL lakes. That little lure catches giants as well as the little guys.

Yes I’m tired of winter , but trying to make the most of it... yes I’m ready for spring , but know it’s not far off, and yes I always know yours in the right link to hit. How deep would you say the shallow Shad Rap runs Titus ? I have several Shad Raps but they all have the straight deep diving bill. I’ve really come to love the Rapala GSR ( Glass Shad Rap) they have a rattle in them and the colors are kind of translucent, hence the “glass” name. Been one the the best crank baits I’ve used the last few years. Good stuff as always. Thanks for taking us back to warmer times. Don

Hey Don, it doesn't dive too deep. I'd say 3 feet or less. Most people use it as a sub-surface bait. I don't often fish them, but I plan to more this year.

I wish we had perch around where I live. I like catching a lot of different species, never caught a perch. There aren't many places in Arkansas that have them.

@@YourNextCast they are found in some of our colder water lakes, but most lakes around here get too warm in the summer for them to thrive. I tend to fish a lot of creeks, rivers and a lot of smaller lakes and I've never seen one in person. We have a lot of different species of sunfish but I guess the waters I usually fish get too warm for Perch.

When I first started fly fishing years back, I couldn't take a trout to save my life. I learned how to time setting the hook on a lake catching Crappies that rose like those, they weren't as finicky as Trout. This was back in the days when my Dad was still around. Thanks again for sharing, YNC!
