Rapala X-Light Mid Runner Crank bait review

A little while back Rapala introduced the X-Light range of lure to their Line-up. These new little finesse lures were a welcome addition to Rapala's range as they not only added finesse options to the range using more modern production technology, but they also did so at a very Angler-Friendly price point!
After using the Rapala X-Light Mid runner crank for almost a year for both BFS and light tackle spinning application, I share my opinion of this lure.

Edit: For reference, These sell for around $4-$5 in my region, which is about half the price of the average hard body lure, which is why I feel they offer good value. I have been informed they are not this cost-effective everywhere, which is sad, but most likely dictated by local distributors.

I so wish that cranks and minnows worked in my home lake. Sadly they just don’t seem to produce as well as soft plastics for me. Loving the in-depth lure videos though! Cheers jano!

Im definitely a natural colour fan also. I actually dont like silver lures but may be forced to try them at this new location where all the salmonods are quite silver. So I guess thats a natural colour in that location haha😂

Have you ever considered adding a small piece of tungsten putty to the front. It will make it suspend and allow you to twitch it like an injured bait fish. Great video BTW

Not friendly price. 20 bucks is expensive knowing you can have 1 ounce rapala or yo zuri lures for less than that-. LIked the gray color. Saw a nice review on another channel. Thanks

Which country are you in, Wildside? Guess they don’t follow the same pricing strategy in your region?Asking as locally, for me, they are less than half the price of “normal” Rapala lures like the smaller X-Rap and Shad Rap. Smaller Rapala lures usually range from $8-12 US here, and the X-Light sells for between $4-5, which is comparatively affordable. Unfortunate hear it is not the same where you are.
