I bought one recently after being told it was a monstera. I was quickly educated on what it actually was and I am in love with it.

Perfect timing! I won a massive cutting of this on a FB group I'm in. It arrived yesterday and wasn't too sure what to do with it. Think I'm going to prop it into 3 and start that way with it. Glad to hear it props well, it always make me nervous doing that!
@GoodGrowing2 жыл бұрын
Yeah they’re great to prop and making 3 cuttings will give you a fuller plant when they all get potted up together 😉 good luck!

@@GoodGrowing Thanks for the advise! It’s sat on my kitchen window and I keep staring at it waiting for it to root…it’s been 24 hours 😂

Love my raphidaphora tetrasperma, it's such a rewarding houseplant. Id love to see an alocasia video, I only have the Zabrina at the moment but there are quite a few on my wishlist still. I know you have a few, frydek being one that I want as I heard it survives outside greenhouse conditions beautifully. I'd love to see some alocasia tips and tricks, maybe even a little list of easy care/most rewarding alocasia to grow as I prepare to welcome a good handful of them into my home soon. You are awesome. Thanks. 😉
@GoodGrowing2 жыл бұрын
Ooh yeah maybe I can do an alocasia collection video and rank them from easiest to most difficult! 🤔 If you want basic care though I’ve got alocasia polly care and alocasia black velvet care videos! I pretty much care for most of mine the same way 💚

Great info. Love this plant. After seeing your roots, i'm hoping to make a clear plastic backed pole but having a hard time finding long plastic sheets.
@GoodGrowing2 жыл бұрын
Right they look so cool! Maybe try something like clear acetate sheets in a1 and cut them down to the size you need?

I want to get another Rhaphiodaphora tetrasperma, mine didn't survive the winter Temps outside. They are so gorgeous and easy to care for, I had mine climbing a stick from my yard and it was happy.
@GoodGrowing2 жыл бұрын
oh no yeah they won't like the cold of winter outside! Defo get another one

Is it best to keep it in a clay pot? I feel my clay post isn’t good.

Omg my partner bought one that was a wreck for me to rehab it 🤣 let's just say with the roots being so rotted on it I cut it to chunks and now I have like 14 small ones 😅 I do like em now that I rehabbed them and now they're doing great!
@GoodGrowing2 жыл бұрын
I bet you love them even more cuz you had to put so much effort into reviving them 💚 amazing job!

I have a newer one of these so appreciate the tips & tricks! I'm sure u have answered this in previous videos but what kind of plastic do you use for the back of the moss poles. I live in the US but wondered if it was something available on Amazon?
@GoodGrowing2 жыл бұрын
I get these poles from an Australian company called grow vertical so I don’t buy the plastic on its own. They do ship worldwide if you’re interested. Or if you want to DIY maybe search Clear plastic sheets? You may have to cut them to size but then you’d get at least a few per sheet

Question: I habe a Monstera Minima that suddenly has partly transparent leaves. I don’t know why. I cut it of 6 Months ago and plated it into a pot now. Idk what to do
@hleethao15422 жыл бұрын
Hi! I was wondering if it’s common for them to grow from multiple growth points?
@GoodGrowing2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that can totally happen! I know @thejunglehaven has one that's growing from tons of growth points!
@amalia26692 жыл бұрын
Where do you get your moss poles? I couldn’t find the link in your previous vids and I really want one of those half mooney ones.

They’re from an Australian company called Grow Vertical! They ship worldwide but can be a bit on the expensive size. I absolutely love mine though so I’d say it’s worth it if you put in a big order
