This is what it sounds like without the Western orchestra influence. Yu-Peng will go down as one of my favourite composers of all time, his work with Genshin has been phenomenal beyond words.

It wasn't technically a Western orchestra since the instrumentation included traditional instruments. Also along this train of thought, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra recorded the original - so it is technically influenced by Chinese through and through. The only exception would be the Western instruments that format the rest of the orchestra, other than that, everything else is Chinese influenced.

Rapid As Wildfires, originally composed by Yu-Peng Chen mixes two orchestra styles: Eastern Asia and Western Orchestra - this isn't me fabricating facts or my opinion, this is exactly what Zhiyi said himself on a documentary talking about composing for Genshin Impact. The orchestra is originally Chinese as one can hear from instruments, but the rest of the orchestration: horns, 1st and 2nd strings, their heavy emphasis makes it a hybrid. "Influenced by" doesn't mean "originally made from", it means "to have an effect on". Without those aforementioned instruments, it sounds only from Eastern Asia.

I should have clarified in my previous comment that I was speaking of the composition itself, not the instrumentation. Despite the fact that I mentioned "Western orchestra" and formatting of instrumentation, I meant to bring light to the originality of the traditional Chinese compositional idioms that can be heard throughout both the original recording, and this wonderful arrangement.

I imagine it was originally composed as one and later changed to add more dynamic to the composition, or maybe he already had it in mind because the other 2 themes follow the same dynamic. A big example is Rage Beneath the Mountains. A Chinese ensemble composed into Symphonic Metal. Easily one of the best themes in the game.
