@@fishfire_2999 and the most practical. Most of the mini houses are passion projects and hobbies, and end up being too complicated. Paul Elkins, however, spends the time making and trying different designs instead of making and polishing just the one.. it's like learning the 1000 ways not to make a lightbulb. His designs are practical, quick, and cheap. Insulation panels, corrugated plastic sign material, zip ties, and tape. He makes full on vehicle shells from them and they're durable and lasting. Great stuff. I think I'll make one of his coroplast paddle boats for summer and his insulation teepee tent for winter camping in Canada.

Paul, what I think would be awesome, is if you could get some of the company's that you get your stuff from, and get some people to donat thier and really build some of those, and give them to some homeless people, just to let them know that someone really caress, that would really crank up the good carma in your life, and have someone come with to work the camera so you can show us what happens, that would be truly amazing😊❤😇🙏

Paul we are at a time where the middle clasa is disappearing. No one ever talks about hard working people that work low end jobs. I would have been able to live in these tiny shelters when i was young know problem. If some of the older people that have yards would let a young person live and build some kind of shelter in there yard they could have a place to call home. Not have to work 70 hours a week just to pay rent. Keep doing what you do. Maybe you are on to the solution to solve the homeless problem. In the 60 and 70s you could work and for about 20 percent of your paycheck you could have a crappy room to call your own. This does not happen today. One must work 70 plus hours to rent apartment they are only there to sleep a few hours a week. Then you cant save a penny. This type of thing could give so many options to work and save money. Thankyou for caring.

This might be a nice form to put some sort of burlap cement covering and then you can remove the form. There also using that landscaping fabric with a stucco type cement on it to over forms to make structures at last.

For a more permanent version of this, I suggest using more sheets to make another shell, only an inch or two bigger in every direction and to put some insulation in the cavity created between the bigger and smaller domes.

Exactly my thoughts. 1/4" exterior plywood painted with a good paint or rubber membrane paint, 1" foil backed foam board then the 4mm coroplast or wood paneling. I'm still mulling over a simple technique to join the panels together, and have it portable as well.

Hi Paul, I am intrigued with your designs. I would like to build something similar to your temporary dome home shelter out of corrugated iron or clear corrugated sheeting . I have been caught out in terrible hail storms 200 km from anything and I have often thought how brilliant it would be to be able to put up a shelter requiring only one person to do so, that would cover the car with a bit of extra space for sleeping or r & r quarters, with a use for camping or emergency shelter. Maybe fireproof and be able to stay level on water during flooding the weather has been a bit extreme in Australia over the last 6 months. There is a material called Bondi that is fantastic. I like the idea of something that folds up and down in moments.

I love these videos and inventions. Have you ever thought of installing a solar light? I have them all over my yard and the few times we lost power from hurricanes, I had enough to carry inside and light up the whole house. It could go right through the coraplast with the solar panel outside and the light part inside
