Is this the future for homeless people removed from the cities? 100,000 people cities, until they can find work, and not starve, and not do drugs?

Add cork or cloth material for moisture ...Or use stryo for side walls and use cork or cloth material for inside walls too..Just make slits for curve and add spray foam for slits when put up were you want it leave slits inside for walls ...Just trim and cover with material ...

Take your Rx drugs only as directed. If you run out early once, you are already lying to yourself and your doctor. Of course you will have tolerance and withdrawal symptoms, you are on opioids. And it’ll only get worse if you decide to change your own dosage and frequency.

If I were homeless, it would be a decent dry tent. Your design is a temporary well-built jail cell. Being homeless means having shelter now, and preferably mobile cause of city clampdowns.

Not to knock your design. It might be more structurally stronger if it's a narrow longer arch. It would then be able to hold up to next to any weather thrown at it with still the same weight.

This is truly wonderful and I believe that when the homeless have secure shelter a lot of other good things will fall into place! Maslow hierarchy of needs says you need basic shelter first! ❤

Awesome shelter. If only our government would spend just 1 billion to build one of these for every homeless person that would be life changing for so many. War is more important. Thanks for the video and your efforts. Just subscribed

Put reflective metal at back end add metal for heat source at back add area for a heater. The shelter needs insulation twenty inches to be r value r20 so as to survive winter so make it so there is boards twenty inches out then tarp or nail plastic then they can shovel dirt around it to insulate then also you forgot floor space must be larger cause the heaters need several feet clearance or it starts nearby objects on fire 🔥🚒 so note the people who live in vans struggle with this also cause the space is too small and can start 🔥🚒 so tiny homes need to be built with this in mind and it needs a back corner NOT front near exit too many people put heat next to door 🚪 and that blocks escape and is deadly so to solve this add extra footage at front and line with metal sheeting to reflect heat and protect shelter so it does not go up in flames.very important. Also you need chimney vent up top if they use stove or diesel heat they need to air vent so they do not asphixiate so add vent for air your window might work but don't put near heat area or it all escape also venturi angle up pulls heat up and leaves cold down . Make it wider more space .sitz baths do not work for disabled elderly people with mobility can't use but proper tiny hut 🛖 with a tub needed and build rocket stove with copper coil to heat the water in metal tub two hoses to fill look at camping tubs outdoor and note TSC has drink bins could make metal tub for tiny hut but use stove pipe metal hook shape coil copper wire around like spring there is KZbin videos on here and build one like it to heat the water on the tiny house make roof needs to drain rain water into barrels if can for bath water or have city hook up proper water to tiny hut with metal bins for tub water can be heated through way I explained.also please stop the nonsense saying homeless are mentally ill and or on drugs because that is like for ninety percent while ten percent are in drugs issues the other 90% are not on drugs they are sane they simply had unfortunate circumstances be it natural disaster, pandemic loss of work or crime done to them or a spouse left them and kids and or all of above but they are not on drugs most are seniors or disabled and social services does not provide enough to rent if six hundred for old age and or 1200 for ODSP and rents are 2500 they get evicted not because of drug not because of mental reason but because politicians are criminals and refuse to fund vital services or build long term care or fund homeless shelters. So if you do make videos stop saying druggies that are ten percent are who the homeless are as they are seniors men and women middle age people whose spouse committed adultery left them and kids and no support and one income does not cover enough to survive and or it is disabled and landlords make illegal increase throw disabled to street to die

If I remember right I paid to fly in the 1989 Manila two day kite festival. I made and flew 4 inch kite in the mini kites. No bigger then 6 inch's. Kind of windy that day And mine was the only kite at actually flew as I brought plenty of thin light ribbon. So they decided to continue the next day. Pissed off I showed up anyway and out flew every one. I asked the tourist official in charge Bakit talo ako? Why did I loose? He said because you are not Filipino. However you took my entry fee plus this is called the Filipino kite Festival put on by Bureau of tourism. He said "because you are Americano". I think you can imagine what I was thinking but I walked away. I figure I won two days in a row but they would not acknowledge that. This was the only two days I did not enjoy flying kites.

Dog houses are not compassion .most homelessness is mental health and addiction . You have to move them into a treatment stream. Building boxes that will be torn up in 30 days will add to the problem.

I think this is a fabulous solution. It costs under $1000 to provide a home for either a single person, or couple, for however long the shelter structure lasts. It costs over $1500 per month per homeless person, just to provide them with shelter. This way they have their own space, that provides them with some dignity. Find a large plot of land somewhere accessible, to where services are provided. It keeps them off the street, and in the parks, making life easier on everyone. However, there is too much money to be made from the homeless, so the government will never truly consider this, as a viable permanent option, unfortunately.

Im glad I found this channel. Last two weeks I was thinking about same concept: taking used (possibly wrecked) bike and making personal transporter alike. There are a lot of 250-750cc usee bikes for cheap on marketplace. I d preffere Honda Shadow 750cc rear end, monocoque hemp plastic body spacious enough to sleep inside (to travel), yet small enough to park two on one parking spot. That would be a blast!

If you didn't know, in the NW of America, some local city officials have been sanctioning small plots of land for a limited amount of functional homeless to reside in small volunteer bought and built shelters. This shelter was an attempt to make a cheaper, easier to build and erect temporary shelter.

@@paulwelkinsdiy that is shelter not home... homeless problem can solve by giving home... give homeless small hope that fit 1 queen bed , small kitchen and bathroom ... and make rule that thing cannot add on... cannot sell that home but can living there forever or until that homeless people leave by themself .... instead making more and more small shelter like this it just make more unsight thing and more rubbish around

The world has had enough greed and selfishness. Paul, I have been a maker fan since the earliest Diresta videos and am fans of all of them from Samurai to Habu. You are my absolute favorite and frankly the one the others should be watching closely. A humanist revolution is brewing and these are the ideals and discussion we need to be having. Humble, elegant, considerate design and the effective use of creative energy and time. Turn off your TV. Stop devouring hate and greed and spend your valuable time and energy working on things to make the yourself or the world better. You are an inspiration Paul and more people should watch this man. Who better to spend these poisoned Tube dollars than Paul. Soon, it will be cool again to help and fix the world. There are more Pauls in the world than we realize.
