Your videos are absolutely amazing mate, I've struggled to find a tutorial that I could do here on KZbin... not anymore, with your calm voice and clear instructions I found your vids a genuine pleasure to follow, in turn I'm now onto the third in your series (Rapid fire) so just wanted to say thank you for the content, keep it coming mate, its spot on!

What a coincidence! It turns out that you were using the Brackeys' Gun Script. and What do you know? I was using the same script before watching the video!

I'm getting a null reference exception error when trying to use this simple rapid fire. the error log states that the error has to do with line 44 in the input manager script (same like as yours around 3:00 into the video). My code in my version of the script is Identical to the video, yet somehow refuses to work, any ideas on what this could possibly be? EDIT: I've completely redone this and copied it exactly and it still keeps coming up with this NullReferenceException error for the StartFiring coroutine in the input manager :(

Me too i changed the 'Gun.RapidFire' white GetComponent>Gun>().RapidFire;' and then it worked

found a bug , if we shoot while the gun is reloading , we are able to start reload co routine again and again .

Very helpful tutorials! Can you do one to stop the gun from entering walls, and one for aiming?

I'll definitely keep them in mind for the future! I'm taking a break from producing videos for a while due to school and other commitments, but I'll write this down for when I get back into it :) Sorry but that will probably be a bit too late for you to use them though.

Figured it out! I made the particle myself, so I needed it to be saved as an Asset, so I just dragged it down, replaced it in the Damagables scripts attached to my props, and voila.

Alright I found the solution to those whose Unity crashes when you press shoot. Instead of using: controls.Player.Shoot.started += _ => StartFiring(); controls.Player.Shoot.canceled += _ => StopFiring(); Create a bool and use: controls.Player.Shoot.started += _ => held = true; controls.Player.Shoot.canceled += _ => held = false; And set ur shoot to be in update or fixed update
