Warwick’s barrel might be because of something from old Saint Nick folklore. Tldr some people believe that the reason he’s the patron saint of children is because one day he found a pickle barrel with dismembered child corpses in it, and using the power of christ he was able to rebuild and bring the kids back to life. That creepy story’s pretty fitting for a Krampus skin, but i might be looking too hard into it

i honestly think you undersell the prestige warwick, the effects are gorgeous and the skin is so well made. and while yes i dont like that they just put characters in a suit and call it a day, i have to say this is probably the best one in that class of skins

Yeah, I'm actually a big fan of prestige winter blessed ww. In game it just looks so sleek and cool. But I'll admit, I also never really cared for Krampus-styled anything, so prestige ww being less krampus like was actually a bonus to me

I'm very happy with this skinline and the direction it was taken. European folk tales was something I, as an Eastern European didn't know I needed. If only there was a map to match... Or at least a rotating game mode. Even ARURF. Anything.

You forgot to mention that Swain looks a bit like Rasputin, the priest that is the reason every movie has a disclaimer that "it's fictional, all ressemblances are purely coincidental." Also, i think Snow moon is not an holiday skinline. I'm pretty sure they released them in the middle of June.

I remember way back when there was the Ice vs Fire e-sports match I don't know how many years ago, and the winning team would end up getting a skin for Diana. Back then, on some forums and among friends, I mentioned how cool it would be if we got an aurora themed Diana skin for the ice side. Fire won, so we got Infernal Diana which... imo is kinda meh xP but I did not expect an aurora Diana to become an actual thing several years down the line. Life is wild sometimes.

I liked this line. The light blue and purple go very well together and I'm never a real fan of holiday specific skins. I prefer skins that you can use more or less year round and not feel out of place.

A little late to the party, but Diana making two gifts for three leaders was exactly the point. She was testing to see if they could put their animosity aside and share the blessings of Winter. But she secretly knew from how they presented themselves (the bio descriptions) that they would fail and she set it up to prove her point. Thus Shaco and Warwick punished them in her stead.

Also i adore the fact that swain was kept as an oldman (camille should learn a thing or two about it) AND that one of his chromas has the lovely classic xmas color scheme. Good stuff all around! About the barrel on the Warwick skin, smite has a krampus skin for Cernunnos and he also has a barrel on his back (it's more like a basket but the point is the same) to store naughty children inside. I don't think that's the inspiration or anything, I just thought it was kinda funny that there are two Krampus skins in two different mobas that both share this strange detail.

I have to raise some issues with your Warwick critiques, one with the "barrel" and the other with the gala aspect of the prestige skin The barrel isn't a barrel, it's a basket. Like the one Krampus puts naughty kids in And the prestige skin is obviously changing the theme of the skin to Beauty and the BEAST because he's the beast in the lore. He even has a crystal rose in the splash!

I can’t really comment on these ski lines you review simply because I am a returning player back from leagues early years. I can’t comment on the prestige Warwick skin even though I have it simply because Warwick isn’t a champion I mostly play since I just stick to ARAM. But the prestige skin gave me a reason to keep playing and eventually try him out. I also spend money on skins that i actually want unless I get the skin from a capsule or chest like both jhin skins I managed to get from them. But I do like the Warwick skin even though I have no idea if it had the pentakill animation like the empyrean pyke skin and the other winterblessed skin you mentioned

I can see why other people like them, but no I don't like this skin line. And the reason why simply comes down to I miss all the casual skin lines we used to get for champions. The ones where they're just dressed in regular people clothing. Things like the old winter/christmas theme ones where they look like they're about to get in a snowball fight, or the old worlds skins where it's literally just the champions with gamer gear. I thought that line was hilarious. Thresh with MP3 jack for a hook and USB dreads is amusing to me. I know these type of skinlines aren't DEAD but it seems like they're extraordinarily scarce with all these "epic" skinlines that are meant to make characters look super extra.

Winter blessed is fine, but I don't really care that much about skinline stories. What I really want is snowdown skins, which were just the champs but in winter attire. Almost all the snowdown skins are still great to this day, and I think its a hard skinline to mess up. What I don't want, however, is a bunch of them all at the same time. as long as I never get a snowdown release that has like 10 skins at once like any event skinline, I think its fine. Winter blessed is fine, but all of the skins besides swain are forgettable to me. I do not play diana, but its not like she doesn't have a bunch of skins already.

Yeah Prestige Warwick is on a whole different thematic but the prestige skins only exist to let us see the champ in fancy style and are usually horny bait. When this skin was revealed I was happy since my main was getting a prestige. Yay! But then I entered Twitter and...... Ooooooh boooooy I dont think I have seen this many people get thirsty over something this quickly. Considering that the Furry community is mostly isolated and never leak into your social media unless you are spesificly searching for them seeing this many in my For you page shocked the shit out of me. Just for this I consider this skin to be a huge success because not only did it manage to be a huge horny bait but it also managed to drag furries out of their caves and perhaps make new ones XD.
