We used this on a large bridge project in the 1980s. It seems tedious at first until you solve a problem. Then everyone wants to do it.

Paid actors can always solve problems in 5 minutes... This KT presentation is very misleading and not representative of how a legitimate industrial failure analysis actions occur.

@@jorgecarmelo7579 Perhaps so; however the presentation leads us to believe that all the information the user asked was relevant, that all requests could be executed and that all replies (data) to inquiries was accurate. Furthermore, there was no documentation to confirm the accuracy of any of the responses or data that was used to make decisions to solve the issue. The fact that an emerging excursion could be satisfactorily resolved within 5 minutes is pure fantasy. The tool is probably valid given a week or two of application, but this presentation is ridiculous -- and was only heightened by the use of silly actors.

@@pacz8114 They didn't solve the problem. That wasn't the goal. They had to decide whether to shut down production and made a quick decision based on a structured - if only partially complete - analysis. And KT is not going to be able to afford to hire Brad Pitt and Nichole Kidman for a product ad. That being said, the example makes it look easy to get quick, complete and accurate answers. That takes time. I've found that KT problem analysis is one of the best methods of "boxing" a problem.
