Do you know, I have subscribed to RapidFireArt now for 2.5 - 3 years and after watching 100s of hours of videos probably by the same number of different artists, Darlene of RapidFireArt is by far the best tutor, head and shoulders above the rest in giving clear very easy to follow instructions but not only that, Darlene gives tips and tricks on how NOT to spend money ( doesn't encourage you to run out and buy a $100+ box of pencils, how to make a kneadable eraser). 0:31 blue tac also works as a kneaded eraser. It’s not the best, but it still works alright. Just a tip if anyone kneaded it.

Looks like you wear some palm protection when resting your hand on the sketch. What material reduces potential smudging?

Im not sure about the best material, but the glove I use is called SmudgeGuard. It's made of 87% Nylon and 13% Spandex. It isnt 100% effective, but it's better than not wearing one at all because I have oily skin.
