Nice job! You are a great teacher! You also have a really nice soft calming voice.
I have always loved drawing but, I could never figure out a style that I enjoyed to draw. I have tried other drawing channels like Fun2draw and DrawSoCute but, those where more cartoony and I wanted to try something more realistic. So I kinda stopped draw unless I was bored and there was nothing on T.V. I was so happy when I came across your channel. I am getting an iPad Pro for my birthday (March 31) and I was most going to use it to play games and watch Netflix and KZbin. Now I can use it to draw and watch your channel! 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗶_𝗣𝗛 I would prefer a traditional Ticondoriga or number 2 pencil, and a mechanical pencil. The eraser is a kneadable Prismacolor eraser. Also, as an artist, I understand how hard it is to find cheap blending stumps, at least where I'm from, so you can use a Q-tip or peice of tissue. Hope this helps ;)

I have a face shading tutorial on my website but there's no video to go along with it yet, unfortunately. Here's a small tip: Use an image editing software like GIMP (it's 100% free) and "posterize" the image. It will simplify the values and make it easier for you to "see" and understand the lighting from your reference photo. Oh, I also have a general shading tutorial for beginners if you're interested. You can find it on the front page of RFA under lesson 9.

Before I watched your videos, I used to believe that drawing and art work is a gift or talent. You're amazing, and I love your art drawing, you're an angel 🎨😍❤🌌
@jamesaritchie12 жыл бұрын
It's about talent that allows you to develop skill. Talent is a very real thing. We have more than a hundred years of scientific evidence proving it. But talent is basically just a high IQ in a given area. It allows one person to learn faster than another. This is why there are nine year old kids who draw at professional level, and old people who have been trying for decades, but still aren't as good as those nine year old kids. The good news is that almost everyone has enough talent to get pretty good, or even to reach professional level, if they're willing to work hard enough. Some people are just naturally better at some things than other people are. This is just life. Before the internet and KZbin made us all forget about science, there was a rule of thumb, backed by science, that said if you didn't get pretty darned good at something, have some small success, within five years, chances are you never would succeed at that particular thing. There are exceptions to every rule, of course, but that five year rule was a good thing, and stopped a lot of people from growing old and disillusioned by failure when they could have been a genius in some other area. Anyway, talent dopes exist, and plays a part in everything, but it's no big deal because you probably have more than enough. What most people are missing isn't talent, it's work ethic and the basic common sense to know who is and who isn't a good teacher they should either listen to, or ignore completely.

You're very talented. I've been watching similar video's on drawing faces and notice everyone, so far, draws a similar concept of beauty. That's actually not too hard to draw. I'd like to see artists illustrate with "ordinary" faces, old/young, plain/average, faces similar to what we see everyday. Wrinkles, eye bags, wayward brows, neck rolls, uneven teeth, etc. The "character" actors of the art world.
