Not having enough vitamin D increases your risk of developing unwanted symptoms like depression, fatigue, and muscle weakness but it also increases your risk of developing more serious consequences like diabetes, weight gain, and cancer.
For these reasons, you should take your vitamin D level very seriously.
But the question is: how can you rapidly increase your vitamin D to prevent these issues?
I'm glad you asked because you have 3 options that work VERY well:
Method #1. is the sunlight method. This method is by far the most natural and the one that you should aim for if at all possible. It works by harnessing the power of the sun which helps to convert and activate vitamin D in the skin and body. Watch the video to make sure you are using the correctly!
Method #2. is the supplement method. Because not everyone will be able to get all of the necessary vitamin D that they need from the sun, we have to talk about supplements. If you are using supplements then you'll want to make sure to use vitamin D3 instead of D2 at a dose of around 1,000 to 5,000 IUs each day.
Method #3. is the combination method. The combination method takes advantage of the sun, supplements, and natural sources of vitamin D from food. Realistically, this is the method that most of us will use because it's not always practical to get our vitamin D from any singular source.
Because vitamin D more closely resembles a hormone as opposed to a vitamin, increasing your vitamin D has the potential to help many different systems in your body.
Take your vitamin D level seriously and get tested if you haven't recently, especially if you are trying to improve your overall health.

Hi, Dr, this is an excellent video. I am currently planning hiw to supplement my vitamin D leves, and your video is quiet timely and spot on. I come from a hot climate and whenever l travel to Europe for studies, l lose that vitamin D and suffer from all sort of upset tummy, and feeling of extreme cold etc. I later realised whenever l vist home for like two weeks all these symptoms vanish. Niw am back to Europe and want to start taking vitamin D but the liquid version not the capsule. Any tips? Thanks

I take vitamin D3 with K2 in a coconut oil capsule. About 7 years ago, I got extremely ill from vitamin D defficiency. I couldn't work, I couldn't sleep, had no energy, no muscle strength, and was like a total zombie. It was horrific! I am so grateful I finally figured it out. Since I have to cover up when in the sun, I pretty much depend upon my supplement intake.

Taking 5,000IU - 10,000IU per day is perfectly safe for an otherwise healthy individual. Vitamin D toxicity is not like toxicity of other fat soluble vitamins. The vitamin D isn't toxic, but in a very small minority of people may cause elevated blood calcium.

Sun needs to be in an 42° angle for enough UVB rays to get through for vitamin D. There are sites in the internet where you can check for your location. In Germany right now in August you are good from roughl 12:00 to 15:30 o clock. With its peak at 13:37 right now.
