Hi Al it is a shame I was really looking forward to getting the rapido locos after them being hyped up for everything from different people over the last few years for top quality and quality check everything, but sadly with the locos I've bought this year there not living upto that reputation, I did wonder if they used different factories to previous models and that maybe the reason, hopefully theyl get these problems sorted and there next batch of locos turn out fine but I think I'll wait an see how they do before I commit to buy anymore

I always forget this class exists and every time it feels so weird seeing a Pannier tank with outside motion 😭

It's certainly got more of a fancy wheel arrangement than most Pannier tanks, I really liked 1501 at the severn Valley railway, which made me want to get this model

Thanks for the Severn Valley Railway clip, the real 1501 is a beauty to behold, one of my GWR steamy sisters. Have you run the model in the opposite direction, for a full lap? I would if I were you, before drawing conclusions. Give Rapido a chance, they can see where they've gone slightly wrong. True, they are better at creating good quality rolling stock, but if they don't try to create model steam engines as well, how will they know whether their skills are good enough or not? They're on a learning curve, and need time to get to grips with getting quality and price (for model engines) on par with each other. You can't rush the creation of a model steamy. I say keep your beautiful model of 1501, she's as good a runner as her real life counterpart. I don't have the model in my collection, what I do have is the smaller Bachmann 00 gauge model of a preserved 57xx Pannier Tank Engine, no. 5775. 1501 is a credit to both the Severn Valley Railway and Rapido.

Hi Kelly no problem i had to put those clips in after seeing the real thing at the severn valley railway steam gala i had to get the model, luckily after a lot of messing around and i had to glue the front buffers back on as they fell of its running pretty well now

hopefully any problems with the running quality can be resolved, if you really want one then go for it but would definitely be worth asking who your buying it from to test it first, thanks for watching. Tom

The loco isn’t doing what you’ve paid for it to do mate, you should return it imho, if people don’t they’re letting Rapido get away with basically ripping people off…

Hi mate i feel sorry for my retailer as they wont accept a refund they just repair it and send it back, ive kept it so far and the running has improved but unfortunately the front buffers fell of so they need gluing back in, you can see from the video they were already bent downward and there was a break in the paint work, i might send it back or try and fix it myself, i hope they improve when they release there next lot of locos because all 3 releases this year seem to have had issues with quality control, thanks for watching and your input. Tom
